Because I honestly can't.
He had some "good" matches in his time with the company, but how sad is it that after all that time there - almost 10 years - that I struggle to name something that stood out in the ring.
The only one I can really think of that I considered above average was his match with Jarrett in '06 at Bound For Glory -- it was a really fun watch. Helped along greatly from the story and build-up with Sting disappearing for months to train and prepare himself for this match and Jarrett having a really long title reign. Good, old-school stuff.
Shame that's all I can really think of.

I enjoyed a lot of his TNA matches.
His first few Bound for Glorys.
I watched recently a match with him, Angle, Jarret and Foley. I enjoyed that too.

I enjoyed his stuff with Foley, even if it wasn't really a classic by any means. They just had the psychology down solid.
I don't know if I'd call it sad, exactly, since I don't honestly think of Sting as a guy who I'd ever expect tons of classics out of, particularly after he was already older. Don't get me wrong, he has had great matches in his career, but it has always been who he works with that makes it count, like Flair or Vader. They by no means carried him, but he's not a guy who elevates people, to me, he meets them at their level, or used to.
That's just my opinion, though, as someone who thinks of themselves a fan of his.

Sting-Angle at BFG '07 is his best one, I'd say. That was getting close to four stars for me.
Outside of that, I'd have to have a little think. I can think of several good ones, but in terms of which are the best ones.
Last good one was that bout with Aries on Impact early in 2013. Enjoyed that.

Against Jarrett at BFG 2006 ranks up there as one of the few BFG 'big-time' events.

I'm a fan of Sting too. Creepy, 1997 Sting was the one I grew up on and he didn't really have any classic matches as that character when I think about it; it was all smoke and mirrors. I feel the same for the most of his TNA run. I understand he's older now but he was in great shape for a man his age, all the way up until he started wearing the shirt in 2010. God, I hope he doesn't wear the shirt when wrestling in the WWE.

Not great, but Sting/Hogan in TNA wasn't the trainwreck some people were saying it would be. Heck, it may even be as good or better than their Starrcade 1997 match. That's not saying much though because if you go back and look at that match it kind of sucks ass and I'm not just talking about Nick Patrick's slow count.

Sting and AJ had a good match at BFG 09. I enjoyed his match against Hardy on Impact a few week before that Victory Road train wreck. Sting was a legend who in his run was a lot better then most guys in that age and wasn't having matches so bad it was embracing. That was only done in character stand point like the whole "joker" Sting thing.

Didn't Sting and Foley have a program in TNA? I remember the promos vaguely. Did they lead to a match, and was it any good if so?

Yeah, they had a match on Impact before the No Surrender PPV in 2011, so it was September of that year. Match was the drizzling shits. And I don't blame that on Sting; Flair looked absolutely ancient.

Against Jarrett at BFG 2006 ranks up there as one of the few BFG 'big-time' events. This is the only one I'd call great. He had others that were very good, but I don't recall being billed over on any other matches besides Sting/JJ BFG 06 and Angle/Joe Lockdown 08

I've always had a soft spot for Sting/Roode, where Sting cracked his head on the chair while doing the Scorpion Death Drop.
While it got a lot of heat at the time, I actually thought that, within the scope of the story, the finish made perfect sense. Although seeing Sting take a bump like that did make me cringe and worry for his health. Although perhaps that was the intention.

It's a bit like Sting-Abyss at Genesis '06, where he loses the title on a DQ. The finish is so terrible, it destroys the memory of what was a really fun brawl (at least up to the six hour spot of Abyss being tied up with a rope).
