Was reminiscing about her after seeing some pics in another thread. What's the overall thought on her time in TNA? Myself, I'd say she was definitely under-utilized. She was a perfectly solid all round talent, and while I won't argue she should have been champ and at the top of the division, I still think TNA squandered a potential asset by not making better use of her. Oh, and the voodoo queen gimmick was ridiculous, though I lived her mannerisms during that phase.

The way they treated Roxxi was despicable. She volunteered to get her head shaved bald backstage and despite getting busted open during the match went through with it despite bleeding from her head and gathers large support and praise from both the fans and in the locker room for going through with it. What does TNA do? Fire her after promising her she'd win the KO title as a reward. Then she gets brought back half a year later and injures her ankle in a match and they fire her again. Then she comes back one final time and just minutes before she's to go out and win it at last they come to her and tell her they've changed the outcome of the match and that she's fired.

And that is why when TNA tried to get her to do the first Knockouts only ppv, I cheered when she finally told them no to coming back. She's a total sweetheart that TNA kept screwing over because they could.

Herself, Daffney, Sarita, Kong, Hamada, Flash, and several others were treated badly by them. Even Gail was in 08 when her contract was up and they gave her an insulting offer to stay despite being the top female star in the company only offered her 25,000 to stay claiming to her that money was tight yet they just so happened to have half a million lying around for Jenna Morsarca.

I dug the Voodoo Queen gimmick. I know I'm the only one.
But I will say the entire TNA run with her was pretty disgraceful. She deserved better.

A friend of mine stopped watching TNA permanently due to Roxxi's on air firing. They were so disgusted by it that the company was pretty much dead to them from then on.

Had she come back, they probably would have fired her in the parking lot as she was getting her bags out.

She had one of the most memorable moments in TNA, to me. The whole idiotic reverse battle royal or whatever was dumb, but she sold that head-shaving like champ.
I also liked the Voodoo Queen gimmick, but yeah - TNA really missed an opportunity to capitalize on her momentum coming off that.

I enjoyed her Voodoo Queen gimmick. The rest of her time there was really no good.
She wasn't that great as a wrestler and without the gimmick to fall back on there wasn't anything that made her stand out from the rest. TNA seems great at stripping away individuality from people ... Still -- they treated her like crap and it's truly one of the lowlights of the company. Telling her she's fired ON the day of the show is deplorable.

Actually what your talking about is the Queen of The Cage which is a reverse Cage match which she won a month ago. The event she got her head shaved was a battle royal followed by a ladder match between the two survivors.

It's like she was Marty Janetty with all the firings; ya know sans the drugs and playing the same gimmick she did in 1992.

Still think she and Daffney should have been a team-the queen of scream and the voodoo queen, practically writes itself.

It was hard to not rally behind Roxxi with how badly TNA kept f***ing her over
