I scream Santa isn't real at children all the time. But to be fair, I am human garbage.

I was about 10 or 11 when I stopped believing, but I wasn't mad or sad about it. I just figured "Oh, okay."
However, I kind of wonder if this sort of thing happens:

Wheneever their older sibling or cousin decides to ruin it. My sister did it for me, but I can't remember when. I believed until I was 8 at least.
My niece is 9 and still believes, but she's right on the brink. She told me the other day that she didn't know if he was real, so I laid the lie on thick. Her 4 year old brother and 6 month old sister aren't going to get the joy of believing though. Older siblings ruin everything.

I think I was 8 or 9. And my parents told me that my grandmother didn't know that he wasn't real, so I couldn't tell her. I took that one quite seriously, and she played along for a bit. Heh. Kids are gullible.

I knew a girl who stopped believing in Santa when she was like 14. Was her name Pam? And did all the students in the class and the teacher all try and tell her, and she still didn't believe everyone? If so, I know her too. Of course, I tried to teach an ex how to tie her shoes, kind of sweet if I were 7, we're like 20. She just knotted them all up all that time. Probably should have seen the next few years coming, now that I think of it. I say tried, because I never did get through to her on how to tie them.

I never believed in that fat bastard. My mom never put the idea of believing in him to my brother and me.
On another note, I'll be damned if I let my kids sit in a grown man's lap. f*** that.

I never believed but, that's only because Jews don't celebrate x-mas. (I never got the chance to even believe)

Pretty young as I can't really remember believing in Santa as an active thing. I know I used to think he existed 100+ years ago and people just kept the story up. I was around 8 when I slipped up and let my grandma know I didn't believe. That was when I stopped getting a stocking. I learned to keep my mouth shut after that.

I started having suspicions when I was around 6... questioning the logic of there been a different Santa Claus outside every shop and how he could visit every single house in one night but my parents managed to cover it up and keep me believing. I stopped believing when I was maybe 8.

I stopped believing when I was maybe 8. My parents used to cover it up by using different tags and wrapping paper. They were good. One thing that I must add is that I remember getting pictures with Santa at the mall and remembering one year being a white guy, the other black guy. It's like I said, the moment I stopped believing, I never felt betrayed whether I was mad or sad, I just took it like it was nothing, but I wouldn't kill the joy in kids who do believe.

I think I was 10 when I had it confirmed for me. I'd had my suspicions for a while, but my mum sat me down and told me straight up, so I didn't go into High School and end up getting teased about it.
I remember one of my friends didn't get the courtesy though, and when someone dropped the bomb, he looked like he was gonna burst into tears. Pretty sad looking back.
