"Unlocked" will just be footage of Dixie bailing Kurt Angle out of jail every week.

It wouldn't shock me if Unlocked was an all steel-cage show.
Kurt's got to get his cage moonsault quota in somehow.

"unlocked" sounds more like a show they should have had when they were on Spike. Especially as a follow up to Cops.

It's pretty much Reaction 2.0 from what I've heard.

It's pretty much Reaction 2.0 from what I've heard. Yeah the release awhile back mentioned a Saturday morning show which would be pretty much Impact with never before seen footage.

It's going to be a behind the scenes thing showing how Dixie finds unlocked buildings to decides which arena is going to host Impact.

WHY?! WHY DO YOU NEED 2 SHOWS WHEN YOUR FIRST ONE IS SHITE?!

And this is why I feel they took the Discovery/Destination America deal rather than staying with Spike, more opportunity to get Discovery subsidised programming on the air that they can sell internationally. Borash, or whoever handles that side of things, does a heck of a job selling the company and getting international deals so should have no problem getting this on Challenge or wherever.

Yeah, it's almost as if most people, dirt sheet included, didn't read that press release, and totally missed an entire paragraph stating : And suddenly, when Dixie tweets about it, they wake up.

I'm pretty sure quite a few people have been talking about this but we'll go with your version of events. Are they getting a second show so their cumulative rating is still 1.2?

I'm pretty sure quite a few people have been talking about this but we'll go with your version of events. I said "most", not "all". I know that some people have been talking about it, but judging by the fact that quite a few websites (WrestleZone, Wrestling News World, and so on) and message boards seem to be reacting to that tweet like it's breaking news/headline-worthy, one has to wonder if they didn't read the press release earlier, or if they just have the worst memory ever (which would explain a lot, really).

Hows about we see how well the first show does before we start expanding to multiple shows.
Plus lord knows you're cutting into precious United States of Bacon reruns

Basically it is like other Discovery channels shows that use clips that were cut from the regular airing, give it a fancy name at the end to fool people that it's brand new, and hope the audience cares enough to keep watching. I do see TNA using the second airing of Impact to combine and boost up the overall numbers for Impact. I still contend TNA need to strengthen up Impact and their roster before expanding programming.

Except they are putting on a "new" show (which is just the old show they are getting paid less for with a few extra minutes of new footage) while getting no new money. Brilliant business move.

I think one reason Reaction failed was because, as much as some people may not agree with this in the wrestling business, people do want to see wrestling. Kevin Sullivan talked about this on his recent Helluva deal podcast. He feels that people's attention spans are underestimated. People will sit around and watch epic 3 hour movies and be fine. Obviously though, his attention span isn't going to be very good if there is a shitty match going on.
I remember one instance of a good rating coming in for a match (now that we're on the subject of TNA) was AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle, which gained in ratings because people were genuinely interested. So they stuck around, and more people came in and watched because it was a good match. If something is good on television, people will watch and you don't need stuff like this. I do love documentary style pieces on wrestlers, and TNA had a great one with Rough Cuts, which was in the body of the show and was interesting and built up many of the wrestlers and got you more interested in them. But like, a show like Reaction is just backstage stuff they didn't want to fit into the show.

TNA needs their new show to be like a Haunting, some bad acting with voiceovers
