www.dreadcentral.com/news/77513/former-wwe-superstar-adam-bomb-bryan-clark-axeman-axeman-2-overkill-full-cast-announcedJoston Theney dropped us a line with the complete casting news for the sequel to his flick Axeman, which hit DVD a few weeks back. Read on for the latest details regarding Axeman 2: Overkill. From the Press Release Blood Red Films and the filmmakers of Axeman 2: Overkill, the next installment in the 80’s throwback slasher franchise, are pleased to announce the cast of the film, which picks up the story where the original 2014 film Axeman left off. This new chapter in the Axeman at Cutter’s Creek saga has the goal of being darker, grittier, and bloodier than the original. The exciting cast of the film, which is written and directed by Joston “El Rey” Theney, includes an all new actor in the iconic villain role of Bill “The Axeman” Talbert. Playing the titular character is former three-time World Champion, WWE’s “Adam Bomb”/ WCW’s “Wrath,” Bryan Clark. He's freakin huge now! Also it cracks me up that to the media as long as you have held a title with WWE or WCW you are a "World Champion"

I'm happy he is replacing the killer in the original.

To be fair, the WCW tag titles WERE considered "world championships", I believe.

It's really f***ing depressing that when I saw the title my first thought was, "I just assumed he was dead". I mean, I knew he wasn't, but, such is the thoughts of a wrestling fan and death, I suppose.

One of the most underrated big men in wrestling. In a sensibly run company, he could have developed and become a top monster heel, or even had a decent run as a face but it wasn't to be. Glad to see he's healthy and still out there, he still looks like an absolute beast, someone who twists the heads off enhancement talent for fun.

He actually did have a couple pretty decent runs in WCW. After the Vandenberg stable split, he had a series of matches on Nitro that built up up as pretty unstoppable. Then again, I don't think it ever transitioned into an actual PPV match. Then there was Kronik, which I think would probably be the high point of his career in terms of booking.

He went on that winning streak in WCW then Nash got the book & squashed him for no reason Also, there's an urban legend that he never lost to Goldberg. He was announced as Wrath, dressed as Wrath but never took his mask off during the match Always liked Adam Bomb, he had great agility for a big guy & I always mark for top rope clotheslines.

That mask was metal and had sharp ridges on it, which would have made the jackhammer interesting. Goldberg probably would have done it anyway, like when he punched through the car window and sliced his arm up. Yeah, I never got why he was booked so poorly in WWE. It's like they had an athletic big man with a good name, good gimmick, and pretty charismatic, then they just repeatedly made him look dopey and inept. WCW seemed to appreciate him a little more, but as you said, then came Nash... Don't forget the clothesline where he used the top rope to launch himself inside the ring from the ring apron.

He went on that winning streak in WCW then Nash got the book & squashed him for no reason He squashed him because they (or, let's face it, Nash) needed to make Nash look like he could win the title & break Goldberg's streak at Starcade '98. So build up a midcarder with a similar streak, put the Goldberg comparisons over big, then have Nash beat him and then suddenly Goldberg's in serious danger of losing.

It's just cuz I haven't heard anything about him in a long-ass time, he seemed to be in Kronik... got released from WWE, then disappeared... and it seems like so many people from that era who had the same fate, ended up passing away.

Yup. "Oh yeah, he's still alive" Is an odd thought about a guy who's, I dunno in his 40s?

I hope Axeman's deal is, he thinks his machete is an axe, and he kills anyone who tries to convince him it's not.
