I think Jarrett is waiting until after Wrestle Kingdom 9 to really try to do anything with GFW.

NWA has actually existed. Global Force is the new Bigfoot. People talk about it, but there's no actual thing there. Bigfoot IS real Bullshit. You can't buy signed 8x10s of Bigfoot.

Global Force Wrestling comes off as one of those tech bubble companies from the late 90's. Promise of big things with people waiting for that hype to payoff. So far it's been getting the North American distribution rights for Wrestle Kingdom and having JR call the show. But I'm still waiting for a mission statement not involving riding the coattails of NJPW and announcing a roster lineup.

Meltzer actually just broke the news a couple days ago with this picture of members of the roster hanging out in the parking lot before GFW's first show.

For those playing along at home, the promotion name is still spelled wrong in their Twitter avatar.
Bigfoot wouldn't have "Bigfot.com" below his Twitter avatar.

It's a GLOBAL FORCE and that's all you need to know! She used to be so hot. She's on a tranny level now, god damn. I hate Father Time She looks like that picture in the ads that lead you to that pop culture site, can't think of the name but you know the one. You know, "What happened to this Housewife's face?" And FYI, I know some very attractive trannies. Seriously.

Bullshit. You can't buy signed 8x10s of Bigfoot. No, but Jeff and Karen are gonna sell DVD-Rs of the Patterson footage at their merch table.

- Jim Ross recently interviewed Jeff Jarrett on his Ross Report podcast. Below is an excerpt from the interview, where Jarrett discusses his plans for the future of GFW:
“We’re going to have our own roster, with our own distribution model, with our own live events, sponsorship and everything that goes with it … In years past, each wrestling promotion acted within its own world. I have a 180-degree philosophy. New Japan exists and they’re thriving. AAA in Mexico exists and they’re thriving. There are many promotions around the world … We are going to promote them, and they’ll promote us. We’re going to find talent and put them on a grand stage, and we’re going to have a talent exchange, because I believe that makes the business healthy.”
Jarrett also said he does not want to rush the product so it will fail quickly. He want to get the brand established for GFW and forge more partnerships with companies like NJPW.

If you want to get the brand established you'll have to actually run shows.

That's one of the many reasons why it won't work. Everyone involved can't be kept happy in a situation like that. It's why, as a whole, co-promoted shows where many promotions all have a voice in the decision making process, rarely happen or come off successfully, because obviously each promotion has its own agenda and wants their talent to come off looking strong in the process of participating. There is no "GFW's brand of wrestling" without running his own shows. Right now, all there is as an example of is "NJPW's brand," which isn't Jeff Jarrett's show.

I wouldn't have any interest whatsoever in Wrestle Kingdom 9 if it were not for the excellent work Global Force has done in presenting the product, marketing it and getting Jim Ross on board.
