Just watched SSS16 it lived up to and surpassed my expectations. Thoughts on the final round match, so put it in spoilers for anyone who doesn't know yet or wants to watch it first and haven't yet {Spoiler}Ospreay vs ZSJ. LEGIT High end MOTY candidate for me, and I expected nothing less from these two.
Will Ospreay being this good at twenty f***ing two is crazy (in the same way as Lee being as great as he is while being as young as he is. Really hoping for Ospreay vs Lee at BOLA).
The story, the selling, the drama, the hot start, ZSJ trying to break Ospreays arm, the emotion, the moves. Its a perfect match and was the best way to end the tournament. I also loved Ospreay vs Strong (and many other matches) in the same vein as Strong vs underdog matches in the past like the classic vs PAC in the UK for ROH, great matches he has had with Sydal and Evans etc, but I still rate Ospreay vs ZSJ above it.
I really hope he wins the title tomorrow and has a stellar debut in PWG (unless he has horrible booking or a really bad weekend quality wise I don't he will or it is at all likely that he will. Reseda will love him.
I am not sure which one is now my indy match of the year now that this has been added in. I love Strong vs ZSJ at PWG but this is certainly a contender to dethrone that at number 1.
I may make a thread for the indy match of the year candidates so far because I am sure I have forgotten a few.

I kinda hope Ospreay follows in PAC's steps and does Dragon Gate. He'd fit in well there.

Damn I was hoping Ritz would get SSS16 2016 so i could feasibly go to it without giving an arm and a leg to get there. BUt other than so many potential chapters I can go and see live in Manchester.
Yep Progress has certainly changed the UK wrestling scene forever and has made it the best it's ever been. With it having monthly and bimonthly shows I can't help but compare it to pwg. The British version of such, bringing in the best talent in the country for stacked shows every odd month

I've been watching more of this company's youtube channel and I gotta say, I want to check this out.
I'm torn between this and Revolution Pro which also has some pretty solid stuff going, but I like the homegrown-ness of Progress.

Go with PROGRESS dude it's an awesome company it's just to bad the Havoc era is over but the flippy guy era has begun and i will still watch begrudgingly for how good the shows always are.

So, I'm looking to jump into Progress as I'm enjoying the wrestlers from the promotion that have ventured into the American promotions and I'd like to see more of them.
Quick question - I see Progress has an on demand service. How long does it take for them to add their new shows to it? I know that promotions like CZW and AAW have to wait until SmartMark releases the DVDs first. Does Progress have a major delay like them?

Watched the first couple matches of Thunderbastard this morning after buying it off their site. Good quality vid and they use decent cameras so it actually looks better than most indies out there. Commentary is pretty light and fun which is great and I can see the parallel's between this and PWG as the crowd REALLY amps the show up big time. Overall, very enjoyable so far.
Also, it took me all the way til the end of the match get the joke behind William Beaver's name, haha!
Edit, finished watching Beyond Thunderbastard and it was VERY entertaining. I'm definitely on board for more PROGRESS. main event was super dope and the whole card was really fun.
Party Marty and the GEEZRS were great and the SDS are vicious. Very solid roster.
Plus the whole vibe of the show is just my style.

Count me in as someone that wants to get on board the PROGRESS wagon. Zack Sabre Jr is fast becoming my favorite wrestler of 2015 and I was very impressed by the UK wrestlers over BOLA weekend, Marty Scurll especially. I've been watching random youtube clips of PROGRESS and I'm falling down a satisfying rabbit hole of great UK wrestling. The atmosphere the crowd brings adds a lot as well. Certainly a PWG equivalent of UK wrestling

Subscribing to their video streaming service is an absolute steal for the price.
Amazing shows everywhere and great presentation for an indy company.

Got the Chapter 20 DVD when I came back from work. Only had chance to watch Ospreay vs Havoc right now, rest later. Incredbile match, easily ****1/4 from me
If I was booking I maybe would have taken an Acid Rainmaker nearfall away, because I swear I counted 3 in quick succession of eachother. But at the same time the match and crowd all built up perfectly to one massive crescendo of molten lava craziness that I feel they had a purpose. I have loved Ospreays top rope fear storyline since I started watching Progress, and it payed off amazingly.
Conrats to the future Will Ospreay, soon now to take over USA as well. He really is something else, to be as good as he is, that young its crazy (similar to Trevor Lee in that respect, I hope they have a match in PWG) Havoc is also a hell of a talent. Ospreay, Havoc, Scrull, Mastiff, Haskins, Robinson etc the talent pool in England right now is something else. Best the UK scene has ever been right?
The comparisons to PWG is right on the money. Unique and always hot crowd, "small" crowd/arena/setting, monthly/bi monthly shows, feels like the all stars of the countries indys combined into one roster, great presentation/graphics/production considering they are indys etc etc
