Even if this was true, he deserves it for making the Mid-Card Mafia.

Cena's been pushed as the top guy alpha male for ten years non-stop without ever turning heel or changing his character, even though he's been booed by half the audience the whole time and not really moving the needle as far as PPV buys, attendance, etc.
You think he has accomplished all that without playing politics or sabotaging others? Doubtful.

Doubtful. If we did, then WWE has done a darn good job disguising it from inside sources. Unlike when it happened with Hogan, HBK, HHH, and others.

Doubtful. Yes I do simply because John Cena was never meant to be the "top guy alpha male".

I believe the story.
Wrestlers have always been protective of their movesets, especially their finishers. There are tons of stories of people trying out moves that ended up looking similar to someone else's finisher in that territory and gotten confronted.. .or at least ribbed.. on it.
Now, what we're missing from this story is how Reks and Cena communicated beyond this. It's very possible that Cena felt Reks had an attitude and was deliberately trying to get a rise out of Cena.
Also, how many horror stories have we heard about Triple H and HBK? They'd threaten to fire people they didn't like. Sometimes it was with good reason as there was legit heat, a lot of the times I think it was implied heat. I don't think HBK ever walked into a place, saw someone and thought, "I'm bored, I'm gonna hate him for a while then get him fired." But, I do think, regardless of who you are... if you're on top for a long time, you're gonna get an inflated ego. You'll start taking offense to things that you should just brush off... and you'll be more likely to go to "Change this or you're fired" because, realistically... if John Cena walked into Vince's office and said, "Either Tyler Reks goes, or I go." .... who do you think he'd let go of? Granted, a good business would get to the root of the problem... but Cena has Vince's ear way more than Reks would have at that point... even if Vince cleared it up and made them shake hands and do business. The next week, Cena could walk in and say, "Vince, I've been trying.. .but it just isn't gonna work with that guy." And Vince will be inclined to listen.
It sucks and it's sad, but it's business. Do you risk pissing off and alienating your top draw? Or do you protect the guy... quite honestly, I even forgot worked in WWE at some point.

I find it hard to believe that Cena would get that upset over someone at literally the bottom of the totem pole using a move that accidently looked like his move one time. And after it was cleared by everyone else. Either WWE is a very poorly mismanaged workplace and Cena's a pompous oaf or Rek's lying. Thinking back on Punk's & Vince's recent podcast appearances, I'm inclined to believe the former over the latter. Well wrestlers lower one the pole ate told not to do moves that look close to a big name' finisher. Doring mentions he Roadkill and the FYI getting in trouble for it in a dark match, Jericho says he and Lance Storm got heat in SMW for doing a double drop kick as their finisher (Rock and Rollet Express) Hell Cena himself dropped the flipping neck snap move that was one of his signature spots once Randy Orton started doing the RKO because it was too similar.

I miss that move.

Big Show and Khali got in a locker room fight because Khali stole Big Show's "frying pan-like" chop to the chest in the corner.
Yep, I believe this story.

This is not shocking he is supposed to be a face on Total Divas but he comes across like a total douche on that show.
