Wish they would've spent more time on the script , it should've been released x-mas 1975....still Chris Lee is a legendary adversary.
Also 15 yrs since Q died today.....

Christopher Lee was metal then and he is metal now.

Christopher Lee was metal then and he is metal now. He was essentially a professional Nazi-hunting assassin in WWII. Doesn't get much more metal than that.

Wasn't a fan of later Moore flicks. He's actually older than Connery and it really showed in those 80's movies, plus it just got too tongue in cheek. But Live and Let Die and Man with the Golden Gun are two of my favorites, I've rewatched them more than any of the others. Ya, Lee is badass as Scaramanga.

I Love the theme song. Ironically, my favorite Bond film is A View To A Kill where Moore was 58. But i don't think Moore showed his age until Octopussy and AVTAK. Plus TMWTGG had one of the coolest posters, The past villain's poster.

Definitely my least favourite Bond film. Everything seemed to just be set up for slapstick humour and Britt Ekland's Mary Goodnight genuinely enraged me as to how stupid she was. They also tried to make Roger Moore's Bond into Sean Connery's Bond and it just didn't work. Moore slapping women around and being a grump the whole movie just seems...wrong.
Christopher Lee was awesome though, I'd rather have spent more time with him. Same with Herve Villechaize.

Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are not actually spotted by Alfred at the end of Dark Knight Rises. They have actually both vanished, and in Alfred's mind he thinks/hopes they are happy somewhere. In reality, Bruce Wayne is just preparing to be a better Batman than ever.

I really don't like the Roger Moore era for the bond films, guy for me is the worst Bond and doesn't come across as a smooth ladies man more the creepy uncle that you arent to be left alone with
Christopher Lee was enjoyable enough though

The Spy Who Loved Me was Roger Moore's best movie.
I loved that submarine car.

The Spy Who Loved Me was Roger Moore's best movie. I loved that submarine car. That title belongs to For Your Eyes Only. But that's just my opinion.

I just watched this movie last night. I still enjoy it, and I like seeing Moore play Bond as an a-hole. I like Moore a great deal, but when I watched all of the Bond flicks in order a few years ago, I recall feeling like he should've given up the role a few films earlier than he did. Though, that's partially because Tim Dalton's my favorite Bond, and I'm still kinda bummed he only got to do 2.

I didn't even click on this thread, I'm not a Bond fan.

This is one of my favourite Bond movies and it's one of the few from the series that I like near enough everything about . It's' a toss up between this and A View to a Kill when it comes to which Bond movie I like best from the Moore era.
The opening sequence with Scaramanga training always comes to mind when thinking of this movie. It may be a simple opening scene compared to other Bond movies but it've always found it to be effective. It always stands out to me (as well as the scenes within Scaramanga's lair and and on the island in general), and who can forget Nik Nak?
Oh yeah, the song by Lulu is up there as one of my all time favourite Bond songs also!

Oh yeah, the song by Lulu is up there as one of my all time favourite Bond songs also! After listening to season 3 of the Superego podcast, I find it hard to hear the opening part of the "Golden Gun" theme without hearing a voice in my head saying "Superego! Profiles in Self-Obsession!"

Funny how the Bonds with connections to favorite Britgirls have anniversaries (Golden Gun = theme sung by Lulu, OHMSS = have Rigg and Lumley)
