This movie isn't GOOD certainly, but it did have at least some interesting moments other than the gay stuff
-exploding parakeet! -Proto-Gillian Anderson girlfriend -School bus going to hell
And um...I think that's it.
But I do appreciate this movie if for no other reason it was the last one where Freddy was just a brutal bastard and not a stand-up comic

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original wasn't originally wrote with a sequel in mind until the studio decided they needed to make that dumb ending so that a sequel could be produced, right?

Jesse Walsh: [Jessy is afraid and wants to sleep at Grady's house] Something is trying to get inside my body. Ron Grady: Yeah, and she's female, and she's waiting for you in the cabana. And *you* wanna sleep with me. "Because you've got class, not ass." I can't believe I just wrote that!

I love how in 'Never Sleep Again' a few of the people in the cast and crew are all: "I never really noticed the homoeroticism."
"REALLY?"

This is probably the worst movie in the series until the Freddy vs. Jason and reboot nonsense. I guess you never watched Freddy's Dead. This. And FvJ isn't THAT bad.

Freddy v Jason delivered on exactly what it promised to me. Was it the greatest thing ever, or even very good? No, but you saw those two dudes fighting.

I love how in 'Never Sleep Again' a few of the people in the cast and crew are all: "I never really noticed the homoeroticism." "REALLY?" I've always been baffled by this too. How could they have not noticed it? On top of that, even if the homoerotic undertones were unintended, the movie had a lost opportunity by not running with it, because it had potential to really flesh out what Freddy is all about. The whole point of Freddy Krueger is that he's a dream demon; he gets inside the minds of his victims, finds their deepest, darkest fears, and uses them against the victim. And for a lot of teenagers, sexuality can often be major source of anxiety and confusion. Preying on the anxieties of a sexually confused teenager seems like the sort of thing that Freddy would do, and would in turn provide something that parts of the audience could relate to.

Kim Myers as a Meryl Streep clone is a + too.

If Freddy really wants revenge, he should invade the dreams of someone with access to nuclear weapons.

Wasn't there some buzz about a potential follow up to the reboot based of ANoES 2 about Freddy trying to take posession of some kid? I say without all the homoerotic subtext it just wouldn't be the same.
