Does anyone else do this? if not you should consider it. I've been doing it since like the start of the summer apart from like 2 relapses for a few weeks which both reminded me of why I stopped.
The rare one offs I do watch Raw (if something on it actually interests me) I watch the 90 minute Hulu version, flows miles better.
Theres so much different content on the WWE network I'd rather explore when I want to watch wrestling in the week that than watch 5 hours of the same product, 3 hours a month is much better
I'll ocasionally watch Main Event or NXT, do enjoy NXT when I watch it which I don't a great deal, but I don't see it as must watch television other than the specials, I mean I can drop out of NXT for weeks, come back to it and know whats going on, check out the roster and enjoy it.
When you only watch the PPVs you don't have to suffer through god knows how many hours of the same product each week and view them in a different light so you don't get as mad about screwy finishes and realise they are sometimes necessity to make wrestling interesting. Also no issue of matchups being repeated. it makes the product feel alot more fresh and makes you realise that right now they are on fire with PPV's, not every PPV can be great and TLC did miss the mark to some degree but without following the main roster intensley it was an entertaining enough show with a main event that whilst didn't reinvent the wheel I'm glad I watched because it was great seeing Ambrose and Wyatt ascend and they both put in a great performance, plus the screwey finish allowed Ambrose to look strong in defeat (they are heavily protecting him right now and pushing him strong, him and Seth are getting as much as a push as Reigns, it's just they're pushing Reigns in a more blatent way).
Also makes the whole "PPV feels likea version of raw with better matches, has the same set" etc thing a non issue
But the biggest highlight of the PPV's that is made all the better by not watching Raw is those amazing video packages that get you invested in the match, watching one of them does far more to get me to care about what's going on that 4 weeks of them slowly progressing the angle, I guess with them they can present the fued in the best light and get over which could have been an awful fued to watch unfold weekly
In general not being overexposed to the product makes me much more laidback regarding it and makes it more entertaining, might not be for everyone, but some of those on here who seemingly hate everything yet still watch should honestly try this method, theres enough other wrestling on the network with so many different products and eras covered
