When an announcer says that someone's offense is not pretty, but it's effective.
Just seems stupid that an announcer should have to make an excuse for someone's wrestling style not being flashy, when real fighting contains none of the elements that would be considered flashy. One thing I liked about Booker T's commentary (maybe the only thing) is how he would jump on guys like Kofi Kingston for adding stupid theatrics to his moves instead of being deliberate and following up on offense.

I absolutely hate that announcers don't do things like that anymore. I used to love how Jesse would criticize guys for showing off. He would always say something like "He shouldn't be showing off right here, surprising mistake by such a great wrestler like Mr. Perfect."

Jesse was awesome at keeping things grounded and not treating the fans like they were stupid. I just don't think anyone like him would be tolerated in today's "sports entertainment", because their job today is to sell everything like it's the most awesome thing ever, and that's one of many reasons why it's so out of touch.

Any attempt to describe a legendary wrestler as a sports-entertainer Like WWE saying "Bruno Sammartino was one of the greatest sports-entertainers of all time" No, he was a wrestler. Aleksandr Karelin was a wrestler. Bruno Sammartino was a sports entertainer.

Not only the people who aren't in wrestling, but also those in it. While we're at it, I'm not fond of the people(both inside and outside of wrestling that expect people to 'eat, sleep, and breathe THIS BUSINESS!' THIS BUSINESS has built up a body count that's far, far too high because of guys having carnies feed this line of bullshit to them

Anytime someone who is not a wrestler refers to the wrestlers as the Boys.

Whenever people suggest a rowdy crowd are simply "trying to get themselves over" "WE ARE AWE-SOME!" *clap, clap, clap-clap-clap* "WE ARE AWE-SOME!" *clap, clap, clap-clap-clap* And then there's Sign Guy, Brock Lesnar Guy, Vladimir, Faith No More Guy, Hat Guy, Hulk Hogan Guy... Yeah, I disagree with you. See, personally I took the 20-seconds-at-most 'We Are Awesome' chant as a bunch of people having a good time acknowledging the crowd around them and how they'd made it a lot more fun, rather than a concerted effort to promote themselves. It's not like they chanted it for 10 minutes straight in an attempt to force all attention onto themselves. Most overblown thing ever.

Labeling everything as NEWZ even if it comes from a usually good source. Not trying to be dickish but can you name these usually good sources? I may just be pessimistic but PWInsider's full of shit sometimes, Meltzer seems to have as many misses as hits and MetsFan just comes off as dodgy as hell to me. Nobody can have a 100% success rate when companies change their plans and people are always trying to work you, but all three that you mentioned have established enough credibility to where posters shouldn't immediately discount anything they say, which is what I take "newz" to mean. Well, I'm actually not sure about PWinsider anymore, but Meltzer and MetsFan clearly have real sources.

People who use "the IWC" in a derogatory fashion. If you talk about wrestling online, you're part of an internet wrestling community, so you're basically insulting yourself when you do it.
I see stuff like "WWE name" and "slave name" with some people who insist on using one specific name for someone and I find it real douchy. Not a knock on anyone who is just used to referring to someone by one name and doesn't act ridiculous about it, since it's a pain in the ass to get used to a change like that.
I hate it when announcers say that someone is "rolling" or that a show "rolls on". It sounds incredibly stupid.

When wrestlers refer to pro wrestling as "the/this business". It makes it sound like they're ashamed to acknowledge what industry that actually do belong to. To be fair, they do say "the wrestling business" at times.

I hate the term shoot.
I understand where it comes come. Shoot from the hip (be truthful and blunt) and to Shoot as in Amateur wrestling.
These days, everyone, especially fans, only use it to mean "OMG, this guy's SHOOTING ON...." expecting a verbal real life burial of some kind.
Sometimes a Shoot comment is just a run of the mill harmless comment.

"It."
You mean presence. Just say presence.
Actually thinking about it, "it" is probably more of a bullshit term used by proters to tell guys why they don't want to push them without having to be honest about it. "Sure, you're a great wrestler, you speak well, the fans love you, and all the boys backstage respect you... But you just don't have 'it.'"

Just say "I like this person and I'm not sure why, but I want to phrase it as some sort of objective fact to make it seem like other people should like him, too."

For me, any wrestler can have "presence" while lacking in other areas. Roman Reigns has presence. John Morrison has presence. The Miz has presence. To me "it" is being a "total package" who ticks all the boxes. A "mechanic" in the ring with charisma and mic skills. John Cena has "it". CM Punk has "it". Daniel Bryan has "it" even if he's a bit iffy at longer promos..

Cena isn't a bad in-ring worker, no matter what people say, but he's not one who can really carry someone to a good match. He's capable of having excellent matches with mechanics though.
