I preferred them when they were vampires. I missed this era of the ascension. Can anyone link me to some footage?

I think the whole 80s Road Warriors rip off thing is a swerve, I don't know why but I believe that after their first squash match they;ll say they are bolievers and an injured Bo will come out to celebrate

I've half been expecting "We snack on danger, dine on death" to be uttered as a line in one of their hype vignettes. In all seriousness I can see these guys getting over, in the short term at least. "We poop the apocalypse!"

Now They're About to Ruin The Ascension?
They will be watering down their MOVESETS next.

Does the one dude still do the yell into the camera during their entrance? That shit was hilarious, it's probably even more comical with face paint.

I am baffled how people can't love the fact that since the gothy aspect disappeared, they've been an old school monster team that kicks the crap out of everyone. It's super fun. May struggle as the main roster is larger than the NXT one but they should be different from the "back and forth" style of tag matches at present.

What is astounding to me (and says something about WWE's talent evaluation) is that Bram of TNA fame was in The Ascension back when it was still FCW and it was an actual faction and not a tag team. Bram seems to 5x more talented than either of these geeks. Bram is terrible (in my opinion)

Obviously, they got the idea to paint themselves directly from being so freaked out by Finn Balor's body paint.

I don't know what you're talking about. I think they'll make a great addition to the Mortal Kombat 10 roster.
Wait, they're wrestlers?

Oh man, the old entrance with the colored contacts and the black light was awesome.
Hopefully they do something cool with the entrance on the big stage, and don't just have them come out in shoulder pads.

Nothing they have said is as cheesy as their NXT catchphrase of "Total Anni-YAH-lation."

They're going to be a wildcard - normally I'd say they're probably handpicked by Vince to come up to the roster, but the fact that they've been down in developmental for so long makes me think they could have a difficult time. It's something that hasn't been done in awhile, so I figure it's at least worth giving a shot. I just feel bad for whoever they squash, hopefully it's a Sin Cara/Justin Gabriel type combo and not an established team.

I think WWE's invested so much time and energy into them in developmental that this is basically a sink-or-swim scenario for the team.
In NXT, I don't feel like they ever really worked as a team or a gimmick, but they really kept trying to make it work.
This just feels like them going, "OK, we've kept these guys around long enough - lets either use them or not."

Just from their recent promo and little bits Ive seen of them I freaking love the gimmick. I dont care if theyre crap in the ring, Im all for old school power and paint and this along with Balor excites me. Im so sick of the modern generic look with normal/weird name for everyone at least this makes a change.

Please, PLEASE tell me the recap was mistyped and they didn't make Miz and Mizdow fight The Ascension.
Did they honestly make Miz/Mizdow job to the Ascension THE SAME NIGHT they lost the tag belts?
Do they not realize that doesn't make The Ascension look badass?
Of course they squashed them, they were exhausted.

They were kooky in NXT, but they certainly weren't helped by the booking on RAW. That being said, if they flop, it's no big loss
The real test will come when Owens, Neville, Zayn, Hideo and Finn make it to RAW. Botch any of those and that will be a crushing blow for NXT fans.
