I think Derrick Bateman is the last underutilized former WWE guy who TNA utilized much better. I don't think anyone is going to make that transition now though. They doing a good job with Taryn Terrell too. Don't forget how WWE seemed to suck the talent out of Mickie James, Gail Kim, and Victoria. I highly disagree with Taryn, if you have in a regular match she is bad if she is in a gimmick match then yes because it hides her flaws. Gail Kim basically walked out of her contract, Victoria "retired" from WWE though.

Cesaro and Fandango would both be top guys in TNA.
Justin Gabriel and David Otunga would be on the shows at least.
Alicia Fox, Emma and Tamina Snuka would be great in the Knockouts.

I could see Alex Riley as another "bigger guy that competes in the X-Division". I dunno, that role's usually kept for giants. Dude's not big enough IMO. He could've maybe be a guy going after the Legends or whatever it was belt, but at the moment, can't see much for him. Also, they'd probably pay piss all compared to what he's getting just commentating on NXT/competing at house shows, so unless he really, really has a hankering for wrestling on TV, can't see him going for less money. Riley's bulked up to about 250 lbs. He'd only be slightly smaller than Samoa Joe. He may not be a "big man", but I thought of him as an X-Division guy because he's a bigger, but quick and athletic guy who could probably bust out aerial moves if he wanted to. To me it just seems like he's this amazing athlete waiting to be let out. A-Ry seems like he'd be capable of putting on barnburners if only he weren't limited by WWE's rigid, formulaic match structure or the undercard instructions to "half-ass your matches to so the top guys' matches look better" I'm sure he would go for less money. He probably wants to wrestle on TV, otherwise he wouldn't be doing the stupid #FreeRiley stuff on Twitter. Hell, his shitty commentary comes off like an attempt to show that he has "character" and "personality". If he saved/invested his WWE money well, then he could probably be content with TNA's much lower offerings as long as he gets to wrestle.

Like, he's kinda "lanky", so he wouldn't come off as big compared to the X-Division guys. Like, Joe is built like a small house, and Abyss is tall as hell, so they both have the monster vibe.

No one, and no one really would want to now. Joining TNA is equal to signing with The Oakland Raiders as in you've got nowhere else to go and nobody else wants you.
