If Bryan's in it, he needs to win. I'm standing by that. If he's not winning, don't bother putting him in because it's just gonna piss a whole lot of people off and overshadow whoever actually wins the damn thing. This is true, but also ridiculous. Daniel Bryan is so over he f***s up booking. That is so awesome.

I like Bryan plenty, but the suggestion that if he's in it he has to win is ridiculous. It makes the fans seem petulant that they'll only cheer for one guy when both the other guys listed are also very talented and certainly deserving of the win, which essentially puts Bryan on the road to being the new Cena what with him eating other guys' heat and hard-earned opportunities just because he's Daniel Bryan. It's also extremely unlikely considering the fans were ready to cheer for Roman freakin' Reigns winning last year when it became clear that Bryan wasn't gonna show. There's no way the fans by and large would shit on either guy winning; especially Ziggler, who is on the hot streak of his life right now.

If it were his big return from injury after being stripped of the title he worked so hard for though... No, that just plain wouldn't fly. Same would probably go for somebody like Cena or Ziggler in the same situation honestly - if a guy's in the Rumble under those conditions, he should win it. Him being by far the most over man in the company and an Internet favorite square in smark country won't help - they'll absolutely turn on the match if he's in and gets tossed.

I'm going with Ziggler. Dude has put in the work year after year after year. He deserves to have the show built around him from the Rumble to Mania, culminating in a main event WWE title win. (Like Punk should've had, but I digress.) Bryan had his big Mania moment last year, & Ambrose would be a good choice as well, but he has plenty of time to get there. Not saying the latter two don't deserve it, but there's no one else in the company who deserves it more than Ziggler right now IMO.
Edit: LMAO, I didn't even realize my post is almost word for word as the OP! Completely unintentional, I promise!!

He's not eating anyone's heat because management wants him on top at all times. Fans just want him to have the proper run on top that he never got to have. If Bryan comes back just to be upper midcard then it doesn't do anyone any good and I worry about how it will negatively affect everyone up and down the card. The only way that the fans would be satisfied with Bryan not winning the Royal Rumble and headlining Mania is if they can find something to do that would still be considered "main event". And outside of having Lesnar drop the belt early so that he can face Bryan in a non title grudge match, having Bryan wrestle Taker, or having Bryan/HHH II, there's nothing they can find for him to do that wouldn't feel like a step down. Cena has already reached the point where he can take a step back and have a match in the middle of the card and still have whatever he's doing feel "important". Bryan hasn't gotten there yet.

Dolph Ziggler, would love to see him versus Lesnar at Mania. Daniel Bryan already got his big Mania moment last year.

If Bryan is in I'd pick him.
Since I'm certain he won't be, I'll go with Dean since I like him a hell of a lot more than I like Dolph. Though I like Dolph enough that it would still intrigue me if he won.
