This whole storyline between Miz and Mizdow is resulting in a rather subtle (?) Super-Miz push. The whole gimmick is that people want to see Mizdow, so Miz refuses to tag him in, which means that Miz is fighting tag matches almost completely by himself, and dominating (and winning) the majority of them. On top of that, you have instances like tonight where Mizdow takes a Superkick and he's out for the rest of the match, despite having not been in the match at all before then. Miz takes a Superkick about ten seconds later after being in the ring for about ten straight minutes and he immediately shakes it off and goes back on the offense.
So what's the deal. Are the writers trying to make Miz look like such a bad-ass that he can dominate what are essentially 2-on-1 handicap matches, or do you think they're even aware of it and are just focusing on the love/hate story going on between him and Damien?

It's not as if he's out there fighting Henry and Rusev.

The point of this whole story is to in fact make Roman Reigns look strong.
Even though he has nothing to do with any of it.............that's probably the point if it.

He looked especially valiant fighting off The Usos for a couple of minutes when Mizdow got evaporated by that superkick. There's something about Miz when he's fighting the odds that really works.

Yeah, I mean I think Miz is fine in this role, but he kicked out of what, 3 finishers?
Mizdow should be the one getting the win by the skin of his teeth, and then Miz claiming all the glory.
As it stands, Miz IS entitled to carry both belts because he almost entirely won them singlehandedly.

They do this crap with Miz occasionally, and it never makes sense. Remember that Money in the Bank match where he got the valiant comeback with the injured knee, and he was supposedly a scumbag heel?

I don't remember anybody else ever countering USO CRAZY until I saw Miz do it on RAW. Sure it's happened but I don't remember.

It also appears he's banging Jimmy Uso's wife behind his back, or at least she wants him to.

I think that was because nobody was very excited about any of the other participants winning so Miz was a face by default.

They have no idea what they are doing. In fact Sandow doesn't even act like a stuntman. He's more like an obsessive fan.

And the following night when they started the tournament to crown a new WWE Champion, Miz got to the finals while injured.

My guess is that Miz is so ego-centric that his natural response to Mizdow's sudden popularity is to take away any chance of Mizdow usurping his popularity by doing as much of the matches as humanly possible, only tagging Mizdow in when necessary.
Meanwhile, Mizdow is certainly annoyed that he has to carry around stunt championships for a title he actually got the pinfall for and a Slammy that solely bears his name. But he passively-agressively protests by sticking to his stunt work, even at times when it is either annoying Miz, or flat out sabotaging to him by imitating Miz rather than helping him. And it works almost too well, as the cheers for Mizdow keep getting louder and louder, while Miz does more and more of the work.
But, tonight's loss to the Usos might have been the beginning of the end, and the first cracks were showing when Miz tagged in Mizdow immediately when facing the Ascension. Perhaps the jig is up for Mizdow, and perhaps Miz even sabotaged him with that tag, as Konnor blitzed him before he could finish entering the ring...
(or I have put way more thought into this than Creative did.)

Miz is a former WWE Champion, of course he can take down tag teams by himself.
(WWE logic, not mine)

Can we all just accept that WWE doesn't know what the f*** they're doing with Mizdow at all?

I feel like they got too hung up on Sandow getting over outside of the ring and instead of trying to push him legitimately they kept him out through fear of anything else not working. It's the usual WWE problem of pushing things that get hot too much to the point fans quickly get sick of it (see; Fandango).
IMO the whole gimmick right now should be Miz starts, gets beat up a bit and tags in his stunt double who wrestles the bulk of the march while Miz takes a powder. This would be a great chance to add an entourage to his gimmick. He can have his own set chair ringside where he watches Mizdow wrestle, then he tags himself in and steals the sneaky pin and the glory from Mizdow.
The way they've done it causes two problems in my eyes. One it risks the stunt double shtick getting old, and two doesn't really help Sandow in the long run. This will get old sooner rather than later. They need to captilise on his popularity now so that he can have a better chance at being over on his own merits. He can't phantom, bump for Miz forever. But where can he go from here?

The ironic attachment to Mizdow trumps all.

That is one of my favorite runs with any character ever. They made him a huge face, with the logic that he was an evil heel because he didn't pay his dues in the right way. They legit had no idea that the fans think that stuff is stupid. I think we all just have to accept: Miz, kayfabe, is an extremely effective wrestler. This kind of thing is only jarring if you expect him to be a cowardly weakling, but that's never been his character.

You have to give Miz credit, he was the only constant force in the match with the Usos (never tagging in Mizdow once) and the crowd still gave them a 'This is Awesome' chant (or as JBL said it legit could've been a 'Miz is Awesome' chant I heard both from my audio tbh).

Miz is underappreciated in the ring. He's one of those guys who needs somebody he has some chemistry with to really work and doesn't work well with overbooking or whatever but if he has that, he brings it. Like how nearly every free TV match him and Cena have had is great but their PPV ones are all terrible.
