"Uh, Seth, it's Money in the Bank today, give back the briefcase."
"DAMMIT!"

Technically, Mr. Kennedy was the first MITB winner to not cash in. He won the MITB ladder match, but later lost his briefcase/contract to Edge.

If Bryan ends up winning the Rumble instead of Roman, I could see him losing the briefcase in a triple threat with Ambrose and Reigns.

He's successfully cashing in on Roman or Bryan, whichever beats Brock to close Wrestlemania.

This is what I'd do.
Bryan beats Lesnar at Wrestlemania.
Rollins cashes in. Sting interferes.
Bryan retains.

I could conceivably see him using the briefcase to make the main event of Mania a triple threat, or otherwise adding himself to the main event, rather than cashing it in, but that's the closest I could see them doing to having him not cash in using the standard format.

He might lose when he cashes in but hes not going to let time just run out.

One thing they could do is have Ambrose put his Wyatt feud to rest and have him get back on track with some convincing wins against upper midcard guys. Then have him actually screw Rollins over when he cashes in and they can get back to their feud.

Also, from what I remember Daniel Bryan actually claimed he would save his briefcase to main event wrestlemania until show talked him into cashing on Henry but then he cashed on Show or something.

I'd be fine with it as long as they run an angle close to the deadline where Rollins keeps trying to cash in cause he knows the clock's ticking and Ambrose keeps thwarting him. Ambrose swore he'd never let Rollins use that case and I'd like to see some continuity, as unlikely as it is. I also think Rollins ends up with the title soon enough with or without the case so not cashing in won't hurt him too bad in the long run.

How would Seth not look like the dumbest man on the planet by putting himself in a 33% chance, when he could have a one on one match after his opponent wrestled the toughest match of their career?

It's unlikely, yeah, and more of a face move, but it could conceivably work if he wanted a piece of both guys enough or otherwise put his pride or feelings ahead of logic. That said, it'd be out of character for him right now.

Well, I actually thought about it, and I could see it happening as a big conspiracy to ensure that Bryan/Ziggler/Ambrose/Reigns/whoever didn't win the belt, and it could be hyped as who stabs who in the back first. But still, two different matches would probably have better odds of keeping the Rumble winner away from the title.

But still, two different matches would probably have better odds of keeping the Rumble winner away from the title. I could see him maybe being forced into it by the Authority and then going into business for himself, either winning the title or trying to and refusing to play his part, after the events of last year possibly having the board of directors tell Trips and Steph they can't change the title card again after the events of last year imploding on them in every way possible. The MITB briefcase would be outside of their ability to deny, though. I just wonder if that'd face turn him, which is probably not in Seth's best interest right now, if he were to renegade on his deal.

Rollins will cash in because it's completely in his character's nature to cash in and steal the title at the most opportune time. And since he's the company's slimiest heel, people are gonna be craving to see him get his ass kicked and lose the strap.

He should take the next natural step from his whiny teenager persona and become an apathetic teenaged slacker. J&J and Big Show and his friends and family are telling him "Seth, listen, you've GOT to cash this briefcase in. it's a winning lottery ticket! You only have 3 more days!"
For his part, Seth just lays face down on his twin bed saying "I don't feel like it, GOD."

He'll do it the night after Wrestlemania, that way you waste all your money on Wrestlemania just to see it happen on Free TV... <-----

Seth Rollins is basically the top heel in WWE right now when Lesnar isn't around. I see him cashing in successfully either at the Rumble or at Wrestlemania if anything as a huge thank you for carrying the ball.
Don't underestimate Seth. He's going to have at worst a Bret/Shawn level career by the time he hangs it up.
