But the UK has no legal access to the Network, lol. What a joke, I've just on another board that PPV prices are going up, every PPV is on Box Office (I already knew) and SmackDown is now edited down to 45 minutes. So we pay over double the money to see less than half the content we get in 2014. WWE is not getting a penny from me until the Network is up and even that is dependent on it being the same as the US version. What a f***ing shambles. Apologies for the language. Wait what? We don't get a full Smackdown anymore either? Not that I care, I don't watch it but still what's the thinking behind this? WWE presume that removing access to their product will encourage people to sign up for the network. The idea of improving the quality of that product however, never enters into their mindset. Their pitch is basically "hey, sign up to the network so you can see evil authority figures for the 18th successive year!"

I am not 100% sure about this but I have seen one or two sites now saying the UK SmackDown will just be an hour long. Removing adverts and RAW recaps, SmackDown is usually 80 minutes long so IF this is true, we're losing about half of SmackDown as it needs to be 45 mins to allow adverts. I hope it's just people making stuff up but everything else seems to be true so far.

That show hasn't been taken serious in years.

Just looked up this week's Sky schedule, SmackDown is listed for the full two hours.

Just looked up this week's Sky schedule, SmackDown is listed for the full two hours. I guess I'll only be secure if it stays like that into mid January. Even so, being happy we get all of SmackDown is hardly a satisfactory place for paying fans to be in. Double the outlay, half the content with Sky now. We better get the Network soon.

In the new Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason for the PPV price increase is because they feel that PPV will either die off or decrease greatly in 2015, that they'll make as much money as they can over the short-term.
The "one-hour SmackDown" will in fact be a revamped Afterburn that will be called "SmackDown" instead. The proper full-length SmackDown will continue to air.

The PPV thing is fine if that's an option for casuals who do friend gatherings but big PPV's and do not have great internet but we better have the Network by Rumble time. If we don't, not only are UK fans being jibbed by waiting nearly a year for the Network, but we are basically being forced to pay inflated costs with no alternative. They are now claiming PPV's are worth £5 more than Survivor Series was in November? Really? f*** off. I will either split it with a friend or see it another way. I am not paying for it.

They are increasing the prices of PPV's that weren't worth paying for before the price bump
