I just don't see the logic of breaking them away from Bray Wyatt It's made all three guys look weaker. It's been great for Luke Harper. His status as a singles wrestler has gone way up and he's knocked every opportunity out of the park. For Bray, it's hard to tell, becuase his program with Ambrose seems to exist in its own bubble. They have main evented a PPV though. Loner Ambrose taking on the Wyatt Family could've been a cool continuation/twist on the Shield vs. Wyatts feud, probably better than what we got. Rowan...he's always been a third wheel, never really booked strong in the first place.

I dunno, Harper's doing fine in terms of his spot on the roster, his ring work's great, and he has charisma... but from what I've seen he's not remotely over. I think the issue's mostly in how he seems to be just, "Bray if he shut up every now and then," and doesn't have his own identity.

He doesn't get a reaction coming out, but some guys just don't by the nature of their character. He's a heel, but he's never really been written to do anything evil, so there's no real reason to boo or cheer when he enters. His matches get over great though, with the fans getting behind the babyface. I see what you mean in that he doesn't have that strong of an identity, in that we know nothing about the guy in terms of motive. But, he has a very distinctive look, promo style, entrance, and wrestling style. I think eventually he'll be a face in the same way that Kane became a face, he's portrayed as evil but more of a simple-minded evil where there could be sympathy involved, and fans love watching him wreck people.

Harper could have had his current status while remaining in the Wyatts, and still had the aura of being part of a threatening faction
Now he's just a smelly guy who held the IC title for a cup of coffee.

Wow, with that negativity it's almost like the crowd haven't been popping for Rowan (as much as a mid-carder about a month into his singles run can reasonably expect) and haven't been solidly getting behind him in his matches. I notice you keep bringing up this, "The crowd goes wild for him!" thing, but keep glossing over times when he's barely gotten a reaction, or when on Raw the match managed to actively turn them against him after initially rooting for him. Mate, I actually say in the very post that you quote, that his reactions are in line with what you can reasonably expect a mid-carder about a month into a singles run to be having. I'm not saying at all that the crowd is going wild for him, and I don't think I've ever said it about him before. He gets a good reaction more often than not when his music hits, his punchlines get some laughter in the arena and the crowd more often than not gets behind him in his matches. All this has been achieved with no significant win under his belt, and losing all of his big matches. This is his trial for bigger things as a singles guy. They don't have to push him whatsoever. And I actually think he's doing better than perhaps they thought he would, which means a few months down the line he'll be in a better spot. Every single guy on the roster is trying to prove themselves to make that next step up. Him losing right now means nothing if he's engaging enough overall.
