Last season the punter, Pat McAfee, was "randomly" selected for testing the day after this: Yeah, I remember that. Also friggin' hilarious. "A punter knocked him on his ass? STEROIDS!!!" Um, maybe it's because Pat outweighed him by like 50 pounds?

It is not just that one....it is also the wild card game a few years before that where Baltimore kicked the crap out of New England in NE. Yeah, I'm going to pick New England in the game, but it really wouldn't surprise me if Baltimore pulled this one out considering that history and there is always at least one road team that wins these divisional playoffs. As I said earlier today, what do any of the previous Ravens-Patriots playoff games have to do with this coming Saturday? Previous history has absolutely no relevance on this weekend's game. Here are some of the players who played pivotal roles in the previous playoff games: Ray Rice, Willis McGahee, Randy Moss, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Brandon Spikes, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Sterling Moore, Lee Evans, Billy Cundiff, Aqib Talib, Anquan Boldin, Marquice Cole...are you seeing a trend here? As MDoggDX316 said a few hours ago, what's going to decide this game is Baltimore's pass rush against the Patriots' offensive line. If Dan Connolly is back and healthy and the offensive line has the same consistency it had for most of this season, the Patriots have a great chance at winning. But if Connolly is still hurting and the Ravens are getting in Brady's face early and often, the Ravens could walk out of Foxborough with the win. It has nothing to do with what happened in 2010, 2012, or 2013.

I'm perfectly happy with seeing the Rams return to their true home in LA. The SF LA rivalry is something I've missed in the NFL and I love to hate Los Angeles teams.
The rivalry wasn't as intense with the Rams in St Louis.
That being said, St Louis is getting royally f***ed by Kronke and that's a shame. I feel bad for all the good Rams fans in STL.

While I didn't agree with picking up the flag, the Lions had plenty of chances to put the game away. That one call didn't screw them. From a lifelong Lions fan, Congrats to Dallas, and their fans. To be honest, I still thought Dallas was gonna lose. After that double fumble fiasco, I was like, "Oh God! It's a sign! We're totally screwed!" And then they show Leon Lett on the sideline...

A source informed John Middlekauff of 957 The Game Bay Area that Mike Shanahan could be hired as the Bills' general manager with Browns OC Kyle Shanahan as head coach.

As weird as it seems, somehow Carolina/Seattle might be more watchable than Detroit/Seattle despite the W-L record differential.

There's been word that Matthew Stafford, and Calvin Johnson are willing to take pay cuts so the Lions can franchise Ndamukong Suh. From a Lions fan standpoint, its awesome to know those guys are willing to give up some money to keep their team intact. It may not be true, but Stafford has given up money before so I don't see that being the case.

The fact that the players are different is the most pivotal aspect. Sure, Bill Belichick's coaching scheme on defense in 2014 is somewhat similar to his schemes in 2012, 2011, and 2010, but he hasn't had cornerbacks like Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner since the Super Bowl years.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Browns OC Kyle Shanahan is open to leaving Cleveland even if it's a lateral move because of "friction" between coaches and the front office.
Per reporter Mary Kay Cabot, the personnel side and coaches "aren't seeing eye to eye on some key issues." At one point, a "high-ranking personnel member" allegedly texted from the booth to complain about Shanahan's play-calling.

Tom Coughlin won't be making any changes to the coaching staff. You can basically just copy and paste the same line next year after another losing season.
