Does that mean the Rusev feud suddenly got put on hold? They had no major interaction last night, and that also seemed to be slightly swept under the rug, though not as bad as Bryan's announcement was.

Hard to feud with someone on tv if you been fired. Unless Ryback going to pull a Melina and try to attack him in the ring. Rusev probably be feuding with masked luchador from Guatemala, El Hambriento Hombre Grande.

Wouldn't it be funny if Ryback got wellness'd during that stupid ass storyline?

El Rybacko's mask MUST be tiny.

Good way to stretch Ryback taking the title from Rusev out to WrestleMania....

Hard to feud with someone on tv if you been fired. Cena's never had a problem with it before. Cena being responsible for their firings being true, he needs to find some lucha masks and have his new 3-man security team debut on Smackdown in the main event against Harper, Rollins and BNB.

Eh, give us a break from Rusev for a bit (probably a couple weeks) to keep him fresh, save for a few quick appearances. Save the final confrontation for WM and let Ryback win the title there.

They can feud going in to Fastlane and then Rusev goes to Cena.

I feel that with all of Rusev's feuds being with fellow super heavyweights, the person who finally beats Rusev isn't going to be a "Big Guy", no pun intended. Like i think the guy who ends Rusev's title reign is going to be a "smaller" guy. Like someone who's in that "big but not really" 230-250 lb range or maybe Adrian "Mighty Mouse" Neville.

They seem to be up and aborting a lot of feuds lately. Like that Big Show / Henry one they spent several weeks setting up and the payoff was Big Show punched him once then promptly turned heel and forgot about the whole thing.

Eh, if WWE lets Bryan beat Lesnar, I say add some variety and have a big guy (no pun intended also) like Ryback do it, especially with his story from last week. But a non-American like Neville would be fresh to keep avoiding the whole US vs. Russia thing.

Here's hoping they have the "board of directors" overturn the firings & get this feud back on track. Ryback can beat Rusev by DQ & keep the title on him. I have no desire to see Rusev lose his momentum. Ryback did his best promo work of his career last week. I especially loved him downplaying the US-Russia thing. He made me want to watch two big guys beat each other up.

Granted, if a non-American beats Rusev, it's just going to go to the Kozlov thing of, "He's still awesome 'cause he's never been beaten by an American!", which'll eventually turn into, "He's never been beaten on Raw!"

I want him to put a cowboy hat and vest on and come back as Skip Sheffield and it's just accepted.

It does seem odd they would give him an unusual amount of promo time the previous Raw to build the feud with Rusev and then seemingly halt any momentum he was gaining by 'firing' him to progress a different angle entirely?
