I don't know if it is anything like he is portrayed in the comics but this version is fascinating. I was waiting to see him snap and knew it would be good, I was not disappointed. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Kingpin is generally more calm and collected in the comics... but at the same time in the comics he's a top criminal mastermind and not one on the rise like this one.
though he has been known to snap now and again. From what I have been been reading this version is like his Ultimate Version

2 episodes in. Digging it so far, just when I was thinking to myself "you know, sometimes Marvel stuff really isn't visually interesting", especially their tv stuff, then dat hallway scene at the end of episode 2 happened.
Is anybody else getting a real Miz vibe from Foggy?

Just finished Daredevil, and absolutely enjoyed it. Managed to tell a great story with very well developed characters without having to do anything fancy.

Just reviewed the first episode over on the main site. www.freakinawesomenetwork.net/2015/04/daredevil-s1e1-into-the-ring/Much better than I could have ever imagined. Because the whole thing got released at once I'm only going to post this first review and tell anyone who wants to read along that I'll be doing two a week (most likely Tuesdays and Sundays) for the following 6 weeks. That way you won't have to keep looking at my shilling.

Really, the only thing I was missing from the show was The Enforcers. Would have been so easy and logical an inclusion.

When Urich's editor is telling him his stories aren't selling, I really wanted him to say something about them not being 'economically viable'

I just finished the whole season and I really want to say that Kingpin is easily the best villain the MCU's had so far.

So just finished the first episode. I really liked it. One of the things that really impressed me were Matt in the fight scenes. He genuinely came off as a blind guy using his other senses to fight. It's something that most other interpretations usually don't even bother with.
One minor nitpick, no real estate in their right minds would actually refer to Hell's Kitchen as "Hell's Kitchen". To them it's Clinton, or Midtown West. I even once saw a news report where they tried to use the term MiMa (Midtown Manhattan) for that area. But never Hell's Kitchen.

Just finished episode two. The only real complaint I have is that those flashback scenes have a weird 60's/70's feel to them which is awkward since I think it's supposed to be the mid-to-late 90's. Yes, that's right, this should be Attitude Era "Battlin'" Jack Murdoch.
Some fun with addresses - 11th Avenue and 44th Street (the restaurant where the Russian's are holding the kid) is the Gotham West Market. I was just there three weeks ago, got some Ivan Ramen and some Ample Hills Creamery Ice Cream. If Kingpin is using ramen for evil then he truly is the most dangerous man in New York City.
And there is a liquor store on the corner of 10th Avenue and 54th Street. I actually work very near there.
