FAN lets play a game. I'm going to describe a show and you tell me what it is. Young, charming vigilante with a tragic past is trying to desperately save his city from a rich villain whose own tragic past caused him to travel the world in order to learn trades that would make him the man he is today even gaining ties to an ancient order of assassins. This villains plans are to save his city through bloodshed and destruction so it may rise from the ashes like a phoenix. In the ensuing battle the vigilante is made out to be a bad guy and one lone good cop must help him in the end to defeat the villain. Along the way the vigilante must work together with his best friend and attractive blonde secretary to save the day. Okay what show is this answer.... {Spoiler}
Arrow Season 1. Any one else get the similarities between the two or that just me. That being said did end up enjoying the show. Hated Kingpin at first but really became the monster you wanted him to be at the end. Also I agree with Legion killing Ben Urich was fraking stupid and kind of ruined the last two episodes for me. Seemed to be shocking to just be shocking. Wasn't needed especially after the previous episode. Other than that, I liked it.

Well still can't sleep so here was episode five - {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}So Matt got four addresses for Vladimir. As I've said previously 11th Avenue and 44th Street is the Gotham West Market with its evil, evil Ramen.
The other three addresses were nothing special, although 47th Street and 12th Avenue is less then a block from the USS Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum, most famous for hosting the WWF's Body Slam Challenge on the Fourth of July in 1993 where Lex Luger saved America by body slamming Yokozuna. Unusual place for Russian mobsters to have a hideout.
And yeah, Wilson and Vanessa just keep getting creepier together. I can't see this relationship ending well. I'm predicting her dying on a delivery room table after giving birth to twins. In fact, throw some time travel in there and this could be the new origin for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. And now episode six - {Spoiler}Northwest corner of 12th and 47th huh? Ok, that's cute. For those that don't know that's the Hudson River Greenway, at that spot it's little more then a walkway to some cruise ship piers. There are no buildings there, let alone abandoned warehouses.
Holy fudge, it's Pat Kiernan. Kingpin's got everybody working for him. I'll never be able to trust "Weather on the One's" again.
Man, Matt is leaving a lot of people behind to get killed in this little adventure. First Sergei, now Officer Sullivan.

Well, Kingpin's childhood got dark. I haven't gotten to that episode yet. Does this version abandon Kingpin to the police because he was too fat to climb up a fire escape while fleeing from a heist like in the old Spider-Man cartoon? No, you'll see what happens....

So watched episode seven - {Spoiler}{Spoiler}This was the episode I was dreading the most from what limited spoilers I read. A little while back we had a GI Joe thread going where I said I hate Snake Eyes. Mainly because whenever Snake Eyes would show up in a GI Joe story the actual plot would usually stop dead cold just so we could have some Asian mysticism and a cool sword fight. I was kinda expecting the same thing here. We've had nothing but mob intrigue and Daredevil acting as a long vigilante trying to protect people caught in the middle. And it's been awesome. Now that just stops so Blind Ninja Master Stick can show up and show us the true path of a warrior. Fortunately it didn't turn out that bad. That said, like others have said, Stick is completely unlikeable and not someone I want to see show up again, and the episode didn't seem to resolve, or even give any real information on, its main plot - Black Sky. Do they get back to it later in the season?
Honestly the whole Hand/Black Sky stuff from this episode was nowhere near as interesting as the Kingpin/mob wars stuff. When they do get back to it it better be something pretty damn interesting to keep up with what came before it.
But I guess it was all worth it just for the Goliath cameo at the end. It was a shame he had all those scars on his back from where his wings got cut off, but it's nice to see Disney and Marvel get creative with their crossovers now that they're both under the same umbrella.
You'd think these terrorist bombings in the middle of Manhattan's business district would attract the attention of SHIELD. I guess this takes place during "The Real SHIELD" story and Coulson is just too busy to send someone. Another reason why Gonzalez' plan just kinda sucks.

Am I the only one who thinks the sniper from episode 6 was Bullseye? He had an Ace in his bag, which pretty much confirms that it was. A friend pointed out to me that the mention of A greek girl that it didn't work out with could be Electra. And of course, we see the Schematics for Gladiator's costume in his workshop in the last episode. Anyway, I really, really enjoyed this series. After the shite film and how bad Arrow, Agents of Shield & Gotham had been, I was a bit tentative with this. But it blew me away, really well done in every facet.

Which fixes one of the problems with the Ben Affleck movie... in that they were introduced to each other, fell in love and then she died in the course of like a week...

I'm curious. Has anyone made the obvious reaction .gif from the end of episode three? You know what part I'm talking about. You mean the prime "abandon thread"/"f*** this shit" candidate? {Spoiler}

I just finished the fourth episode and man this show has me hooked now. I absolutely love it. Everyone is on point with it and the performances are realistic, down to earth, emotional, powerful, and Kingpin is downright terrifying. Can't wait to finish the rest of the season!

Manage to marathon this show over the weekend in my free time. Show is phenomenal on almost every level. Amazing story carried by a great cast and some truly epic fight scenes. This just might replace Iron Man as my second favorite thing to come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (first is still Winter Soldier, but f*** if it ain't close). Only weak spot, I'd say, is D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. Don't get me wrong, I love Vincent D'Onofrio, but his Kingpin was just too... emotionally stunted, I guess. Great villain, AMAZING actor, just not what I expect in the Kingpin. One funny side note: as the Power Rangers reboot thread sent me down memory lane, I found myself watching a video that compiled all of the intros to the Power Rangers shows. Had no idea Vladimir, the brutal Russian mobster, used to play the White Rhino Ranger in Jungle Fury. And he's not the only former Ranger coming to the MCU; Eka Darville, RPM's Red Ranger (and Jamal Lyon's love interest in Empire), is due to play Malcolm Powder in the Jessica Jones Netflix series.

I actually love this version of Fisk. You see there's a quiet rage to him that is bubbling beneath the surface. This is a man who is clearly in charge of the criminal underworld, feared, respected, and hidden in such a fashion that other villains are literally afraid to say his name.
When the rage comes out it's done in a horrific and brutal fashion. That's what makes this Fisk so terrifying for me.

That's the one! Thank you so much. I finished the series yesterday. I was surprised at how fascinated I was by Madam Gao. She ended up being almost out of place, here. From what I understand, the name and symbol on the heroin is a connection to one of the other Marvel shows coming to Netflix, so maybe we'll see more from her, there. I know I really want to find out more about her.
