Maybe this was addressed in a precious thread, but why not hold Sunmerslam at Red Bulls stadium? It's outdoors, it'll hold 30k people, and it'll really help make Summerslam appear to be the #2 show again. That be a pretty good idea, and I'd be for it also if it weren't for the New York Red Bulls soccer still going on during that time even having a match on the 22nd there, and WWE needing to get there stuff there and prepare things weeks in advance they wouldn't be able to do it.
Shame it can never go back to MSG though, with the last event being there in 2011...but yeah change of scenery would be great to see besides always in LA just not sure where...

I'm more bummed out the Izod center is closing down. That RAW after WM29 is one of the greatest crowds of all time.

They dont need to do it weeks in advance for Summerslam. The only PPV that gets that kind of treatment is Mania. The game on the 22nd is in New England anyway. The Red Bulls' nearest home game to the Summerslam date is 8/15 before and 8/30 after.

I love when WWE puts over an arena as having been one of the awesome post-WrestleMania places. Last Monday in New Orleans was a prime example.

It would never happen , but wouldn't it be interesting if they held it at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

According to PWInsider.com, the current frontrunner to host SummerSlam is the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

It would never happen , but wouldn't it be interesting if they held it at the Hammerstein Ballroom. WWE there? probably not. NXT? That would be AMAZING. It's almost a no-brainer if it turns out they need to tape some shows by the time we get to SummerSlam week.

As much as it tickles me in special places to make fun of Jimmy Dolon, this one isn't on him as far as I'm aware. Barclay's is nicer, cheaper, and easier for the production team to get to.

Barclays, even for events like these, still has cheaper tickets. I'm hoping Barclays, but realistically they could go to any surrounding stadiums, atleast if teams are away.

The only issue of going to Red Bull stadium is that it tends to rain a fair amount in NY over the summer especially the city area

Damn. I'm going to go because I haven't been to THE Summerslam, but I really don't like the Barclays Center.

Wait, theres a football team called "the new york red bulls"? who else is in the league? The Atlanta Coca-Colas? They used to be the "New York/New Jersey MetroStars", but yeah, Red Bull bought them out, changed the name, and dropped "New Jersey" from the title. Couldn't ever get into them after that.
