I don't think Connor can beat Aldo. I don't think Connor could be Cub Swanson in all honesty.
Also, it appears Aldo knows the word Impress.

That little girl is ready to go to war, apparently. She dove right in the middle of that nonsense.

I'm going to guess that's why they had the sudden cut away live?

I'm going to guess that's why they had the sudden cut away live? That'd be it. It does tempt me to just refer to Connor as "Irish Diaz" from now on.

Well, that fight was a joke. Siver actually had no business being in there. (Joe Rogan Mode on)C'mon brah....Siver is the REAL DEAL...so much XP.....no one has EVER handled him like that!(Joe Rogan mode off)
I remember Melvin Guiard blowing him out of the water in 30 sec...and Cowboy choking him out in 2 mins. I laughed my ass off when they said he was top 10. His win list isn't a who's who, it's a who's that?
I have no problem with McGregor fighting Aldo, it should be really good, but to play up a victory over Dennis Siver as ANY kind of A level achievement is corny as hell.
Also, I'm not really a Ben Henderson fan, but damn I got the feels during his post fight interview. He really wanted to go off. That being said, live by the judge die by the judge. Frankie Edgar learned it, now he must too.

So admittedly I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to UFC but I have watched McGregor's fights, and I have watched Aldo's last fight.
Could more seasoned viewers of the promotion confirm for me that McGregor is going to get the piss beat out of him in May?

Aldo/McGregor should be fun.
While I think the decision was still poor, Henderson hurt himself but not going for the knockout and sticking to point fighting. Also, he made no effort whatsoever to try a takedown.

Could more seasoned viewers of the promotion confirm for me that McGregor is going to get the piss beat out of him in May? It's entirely possible. But it's also entirely possible that McGregor's movement, length, and pacing could give Aldo problems as well. McGregor better work on checking leg kicks, though. Because they're coming.

UFC 187: Aldo vs. McGregor will happen in Vegas in May.
And I am very proud to be cheering for McGregor. I really do think he will beat Aldo.

That's what the fight hinges on. If Aldo takes away the movement of McGregor and makes him have to back up for the first time in his career through those leg kicks he wins the fight. Conditioning could also come into question on both sides if the fight goes into championship rounds. I'd expect Aldo to grind it out, but McGregor winning wouldn't come as a surprise because he's got the talent.

Well UFC just got my money. I'm rooting for that Irish bastard because I want Chad Mendes to kick his ass for the title.

Anyone who thinks McGregor is just hype is in denial. The dude is a vicious, but smart and calculated fighter. Aldo is good, but McGregor is going to pick him apart.
