I tried to limit the options to guys that are at least within the realm of possibility---if not probability--- so no HBK who has maintained he is staying retired, Hogan, who will never pass the WWE physical, or CM Punk for obvious reasons.

If Dean goes heel, I'd go with him.

Cena would be a spectacle and, if done right, THE end of the Attitude Era in the best way possible, bigger than Triple H and the Undertaker.

Seth would make a cool opponent.
And maybe it's just the kick I'm on, but I think it'd be cool to see Austin in a tag or a 6 man tag match.

Will CM Punk's UFC deal be over by then?

Austin is probably my all time favorite, but I don't want to see him come back. Over reliance on stars from the past and guys staying around too long is one of the biggest problems WWE faces in my opinion.

They need to fill 120,000 seats... in Texas... 1) Austin vs. Ambrose 2) Taker HOF/Retirement 3) Freebirds HOF 4) Stan Hansen HOF
Hell, HBK vs. D-Bry if they can...

Punk vs. Austin was the only match anyone was really invested in, and that was more the clashing ideals of their characters than anything. Austin vs. Ambrose sounds good, but...why?

Celeb induction for Willie Nelson, and have him there to open the show like at Wrestlemania 8. Had they done this at Wrestlemania 25, I was in favor of Austin vs. JBL just as a basic ten minute semi-squash match for nostalgia pops.

For continuing storylines I totally agree, but for a one-off match at WrestleMania in Texas? One where they have to draw at least 20,000 more people than WM3? I'd be okay with both Austin and HBK competing.

For perspective: This is WrestleMania VI (Hogan vs Warrior) from the SkyDome in Toronto. Dallas will hold about double this.

Book the current roster good enough so that they can be in strong positions to get the rub from the likes of Austin, HBK, Taker etc... and this problem goes away. It's just that the writing for the entire year aside from Wrestlemania when the "real stars" show up is so poor that nobody gets over so that it turns into a once a year Legends Memorial with diminishing returns.... A match between an in-ring shape HBK who is motivated and Seth Rollins would be ungodly good. Dean Ambrose, if he is booked well and turned into the sort of anti-authority character that Austin was, and then turns heel (citing comparisons to Austin as a reason) would be an awesome opponent for Austin.... And I'd have both Rollins and Ambrose go over.

Cena v Reigns Austin v Ambrose Michaels v Rollins Believe in The Shield. How about: Cena v Reigns Austin v Ambrose Michaels v Bryan (WHC) Rollins v Ziggler?

Throw in Sting vs Taker and you have your 120k tickets sold perhaps... That said, in that scenario the WHC match isn't even in the top four as far as main event hierarchy goes.

I love Austin, but the only match I want to see Stone Cold in is one from the archives on the Network.
