The demand/price increase is nuts.I remember paying like 15 bucks to get into a show they had in their La Habra days, like 6 years ago. Yeah, I was just reading the PWG board where someone was going nuts over it, and lashing out at Super Dragon and Excalibur (even engaging the ol' smark standby of going the legit name route...) Still, $45 GA and $60 FR is a pretty steep price point for PWG. I love PWG, as it has provided me some of the best experiences in my wrestling fandom. But if they were able to keep the price around thirty for GA when they were flying in a DDT/BOLA group of the very top indie guys a couple years back, I don't know why they need $15 more dollars to bring in some guys who while very good and deserving of the spotlight, are not worth it at this point. I would pay $45 if a Nakamura or Okada made a stop in Reseda, or if Punk had a comeback match there, but not this card. As much as they resist it, I think PWG's bookers need to consider finding a new venue to run. The Legion hall in Reseda definitely has it's charm (if not A/C all the time), but at this point, I bet they could almost pack a 1000 capacity venue and charge $25/$30 bucks a pop, and make the same money after fly-ins/venue rental. Where this prospective venue is in LA, I have no idea, but I think it would be good for everyone involved. EDIT: Just for my own curiosity, I looked up the rate of the Legion Hall in Reseda: www.calegion308.org/html/rental.aspRental Rate: $950 for 6 hours Overtime: $225.00 per hours if time available. Security Deposit: $250 to $750 (all or partial refundable based on facility condition). Cancellations: Before 60 days, full refund. Less than 30 days, forfeit all payments. Bar Usage: $275.00 Minimum payment plus sales tax and gratuity. Security: Uniformed, licensed guards are required at all times. It's funny to see pictures of the different non-PWG events they have there.

Again, the two reasons that Supes and Excalibur won't leave the Legion Hall: It's Cheap and Booze. Booze is the tipping point. They'll never admit it, but the bar at the Legion Hall is why both sides of this equation are very friendly to each other. I'm sure both sides actually make money from sales at the bar. Also, because the Legion Hall is so small, once you get 350+ in there, it looks real good on DVD. If they still held shows at the Burbank Armory(which is huge and even has a balcony that runs almost the entirety of the building), 350+ would look smallish and would maybe make it seem like PWG isn't the hot ticket it's made to look like at Larryworld. I personally feel they should move back to the Burbank Armory. I don't think the crowd looking tiny would be a problem at all at this point. If they did move back there and drive the price down to 25 or 30 dollars, you could get 500 people to go and I'm sure it'll look good on DVD then.

It was in the "April 3rd Show Announced" thread. To be fair though, he basically challenged Dragon and Excalibur to delete his comment, so I guess they gave him what he wanted haha. But yeah the jist of it was that "the new price point sucks, and this show is going to suck, etc" before calling out Dragon and Excalibur by name.

Surely the show(s?) after DSTT will be a DDT4 right? It feels like forever ago since Best Friends won the last one in early 2014
I am a Roddy fan, but yet again I am on the oppositions side. TEAM SABRE AND HIS BURNING HEART! FIGHTINGGG SPIRIITTTUUUUUU *socker kicks aggressively*
And a question. How important do you think the Legion is to both PWG/indy history? Considering they have been running events there for so long, and then eventually it becoming a full time spot for them (I want to say in 2009?) How much do you think it is influential to PWGs image and Unique Selling Point?

Can't wait for Don't Sweat the Technique
Hero/End Cage/Busick Lee/Bailey Ricochet/Everett Strong/Saber
Those should all be great.

How much do you think it is influential to PWGs image and Unique Selling Point? PWG is now forever linked to the Legion Hall. Its biggest period of success and exposure happened inside the walls of Larryworld. Making the move from there to another venue would probably be pretty jarring since everybody associates the building immediately with PWG. This is anther reason why Super Dragon and Excalibur refuse to move from Reseda. Everybody that knows about PWG automatically links the promotion to this building.

When you really look at the majority of their recent cards, $45 isn't unreasonable. Most indie shows are like $20 ish and generalyl you'll get a few solid matches, maybe 1 really great match and then a lot of ok matches or just blah matches with ok dudes.
With PWG, they've basically branded themselves as "we bring in the top, non-contracted players" so pretty much every match could main event a normal indie show.
So, with that in mind, I don't mind the inflated cost of the tickets. I'm really surprised the DVDs are still only $15.

There's something wrong with the fact that, during WrestleMania season, I'm looking forward to tonight in case PWG post the From Out Of Nowhere trailer during RAW rather than looking forward to RAW itself.

Fun fact - after last night at wXw, PWG will host the meeting of the only two men to win 16 Carat Gold twice: Chris Hero (2007 and 2014) and Tommy End (2013 and 2015).

For those with experience, typically how early do you have to get to Reseda to get in if you didn't buy tickets prior?

I know they have brought in a lot of new talent recently, but f*** me I have found another Will Ospreay tribute that I need to share in here. This guy is perfect for PWG and a full time roster spot. Just absolute insanity and looks like he already has experience with most of the PWG roster in Sydal, Ricochet, Swann, Foxx etc Dave Mastiff is also a must for 2015. Hopefully now with the success of ZSJ they will continue to look for more UK origin talents to bring in for roster spots If you're bringing in Ospreay you might as well just bring in the Swords of Essex, Paul Robinson would have that crowd in the palm of his hand

I completely agree bring them both in, instead of just Ospreay. They would be perfect for a debut in DDT4 this year. I seriously hope with this upping of ticket prices and all the money are not doubt raking in from DVD sales (at least from me anyway) that they will be saving to have a multiple night DDT4 this year. 2 night would be great, 3 nights would be outstanding.

I really hope this isn't another case of the Untitled II release (I think...) of the preview only being released a few days before they started shipping...
