too bad their last show there is in May and not July for the anniversary show. if it were, they could bring back the anniversary show ladder match. i mean if the building's going to be torn down, they may as well let PWG literally tear the roof down (again)

Is this the same Robbie Eagles who wrestled in CZW for a year in like 2009 or 2010? Has he improved at all since then? Thought he was always aggressively average to below average at the time

I love how the article mentions Terry Funk as a crazy gimmick match.

So glad I got to go to one show at the Legion Hall.
During my year in Los Angeles, I was fortunate enough to catch 'Bowie.' Dalton Castle's debut, Strong's last title defense, Bailey's last U.S. match, just an excellent card:
"The Party Peacock" Dalton Castle vs. "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor Chris Hero vs. Trent? "Callihan Death Machine" Sami Callihan vs. Jack Evans Adam Cole vs. Andrew Everett Trevor Lee vs. Zack Sabre, Jr. "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Evil Uno Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship Title Match Roderick Strong (Champion) vs. Drew Galloway (Challenger)
About a year later I caught a Chris Hero shoot where he called the match with Trent one of his favorites. The vibe in that room was so cool for it.

hard for me to pick a favorite one i went to:
- All Star Weekend 8: Night One was memorable because, after following indy wrestling intensely for five years, it was my first indy show. i stood in the legendary lines outside American Legion Post #308 well beyond the designated bell time, passed the ceremonial pat-down, walked up to the sacred ticket table, and entered that hallowed hall where, sitting on the ring apron, was El motherf***in' Generico, from whom i purchased a replica mask which is displayed in a place of prominence in my living room. it was also awesome because, being a huge ROH fan, i got to see Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong reunited as Generation Next. so what if they didn't do anything with it past Shelley & Strong teaming at "EIGHT", i got to see GenNext! also got to see Steen, Hero, Claudio, Eddie, Chucky T, Ricochet, Kenny King (and Low Ki on night two); i became an instant fan of Willie Mack, RockNES, Tozawa, and the ultimate greatness that is heel Young Bucks. and besides being my first indy show, it was the first show i went to where being in the cheap seats didn't mean you were half a mile away so the wrestlers looked really small and all you could hear were bodyslams and people stomping on the mat. when people say "you gotta see wrestling live", this is what they were talking about. - EIGHT was memorable because i got to see Kevin Steen win the PWG World Championship - Threemendous III was memorable because of that insane ladder match (which is crazy on dvd but nowhere as insane as live) - 2012 Battle of Los Angeles: Night Two was memorable for the rise of Adam Cole (BAY BAY!) and Michael Elgin (back when people where super stoked on him), the Team Statutory six-man (its a shame they didn't get Kyle O'Reilly failing to open the emergency exit), and the other six-man with the reunion of Steen & Generico as well as Rick F'N Knox - DDT4 2013 was memorable for being El Generico's last PWG show. it was also my last PWG show live, and if you gotta got you may as well do it saying farewell to a legend

I was at EIGHT as well, probably my favorite show I was at.
One thing I hope is that for the final Reseda show, they book at least one local 8man tag. Just at least a thank you to those guys who held the company up when they were just the best funded SoCal promotion, before they blew up into what they are today.
Joey, Scorpio, Ryan Taylor, Willie, Yuma, Avalon,Goodtime, basically the Bar Wrestling crew. They deserve one last match in that building.

Oh yeah, make sure Knox is reffing that match, and have Jon Ian do the introduction.

Considering what yesterday was surprised Riddle made it Somehow PWG doesn't seem like the type of place where management would grumble about him blazing up in the locker room. He was probably annoyed this stupid wrestling match was getting in the way of his celebration though.

Full Night Two Results: {Spoiler}Trevor Lee vs. Flash Morgan Webster
Lee with a suplex variation at 10:52. He is such an ideal talent to open shows, Really gets the crowd into it with mic work before the match. Webster is a great babyface to match the heel antics. Really solid match.
Robbie Eagles vs. Joey Janela
Janela with a brainbuster from the top rope at 14:38. Wow. This was really good. One of Janelaâs best matches in PWG. Janela landed a tombstone on the floor and a package piledriver that looked brutal. The super brainbuster was crazy. Eagles had a hard time getting over Friday night, but he definitely did tonight.
The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) vs. Violence Unlimited (Brody King & Tyler Bateman)
A bit of a mess at the end, but damn good for what it was. Really fun match. Wentz pinned Bateman at 13:21 with the standing moonsault.
Bandido vs. Rey Horus
Wow! Incredible match and worth your while to seek out. They absolutely tore it down with some lucha flavor. Bandido won with a moonsault off the top rope while holding Horus in a body slam position. Finish was at 12:03. Sensational.
Sammy Guevara vs. Taiji Ishimori
Guevara with a shooting star press at 9:07. Ishimori seemed to injure himself early on a springboard and the match never recovered. Weird one.
Afterward, Guevara cuts a promo saying he wonât compete in PWG any longer if he doesnât get a title shot.
Matthew Riddle vs. Timothy Thatcher
Riddle at 10:50 with the Bromission. Really good while it lasted. Maybe a bit too short, but this has been a well-paced show. No complaints.
Keith Lee vs. WALTER vs. Jonah Rock
WALTER is the new PWG champion! He pins Lee after a massive lariat at 13:32. Great, great hoss match. Rock turned heel part of the way through, landing groin shots on both Lee and WALTER. WALTER set up the finish by coming off the top rope â yes, you read that correctly â for a splash on Lee. Lee did an absolutely ridiculous flipping suicide dive onto Rock and WALTER at one point.
Afterward, Lee cut a promo said he didnât do what former champion Chuck Taylor had asked about being a better champion than he was. Lee said he hopes WALTER now will be. Lee didnât explicitly say he was headed to WWE, but there have been implications.
Guevara came back out when Lee was finished and got in WALTERâs face. WALTER responded by landing a massive chop, sending Guevara out of the ring. Fitting end to a fantastic card.
