I understand why they dont, but there has to be a point where they move to a different (bigger) venue, right? I know the gate isn't their main revenue source, but it is still just saying no to more revenue. How many does the legion hold, 400-500? How many could you guess they'd fill max? They don't want to move for a variety of reasons: 1. Larry rents it out cheap 2. Beer and Alcohol sales are huge at the Legion Hall. I'm sure both sides make a nice extra chunk of change there 3. PWG's Renaissance started at the Legion Hall. When you think PWG, you think Larryworld. 4. There's a certain je ne sais quoi about the old dump, and so it's hard to move on from it. If they did it at a bigger venue, I'm sure they could get 750 to 1000 people. Probably somewhere around 800 would be more realistic. For big shows like BOLA and the Anniversary shows, I'm sure they'd get close to 1000 at a bigger venue.

It's probably a combination of the same reason ECW never ran anywhere but The Arena in Philly. It's home.
Also, with rent prices in Los Angeles, it's probably too much of a gamble. Rent out a bigger building for 3-4 times the price of Larrytown and possibly only sell twice as many tickets.
AND, the last time they ran a show somewhere else(Kurt RusselReunion III), those godless heathens didn't practice recycling. Why take a chance moving to a bigger venue when that could happen again?

I wonder where Everett/Lee will be on the card. Maybe they face each other, as was teased at MVIII?

So can we discuss something a little negative here?
What are the biggest dropped balls in PWG?
I'd definitely have to say Willie Mack and RockNES. These guys went over EVERYONE, and were some of the most over guys in the company. Willie was constantly getting "NEXT WORLD CHAMP!!!" Chants, RockNES were basically the tag team version of Roderick Strong: The Gatekeepers.
The problem seems to be that they blew up right around the time that Guerilla as a whole blew up, and all of the sudden, Dragon was able to book more outside talent, and the locals got thrown to the wayside. Which also coincides with the time Joey left for TNA. I don't know how much booking power he had at the time, or has now, but it's kinda interesting that he leaves and local guys stop getting booked almost immediately, then get booked for one or two shows after he comes back.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with that. Maybe Dragon feels burned by locals. The last local who I can remember that got booked(outside of Joey and Candice) was Adam Thornstowe and he had a mediocre debut. Also, given the touching moment we gave Willie at BOLA last year, perhaps Supes/Excalibur don't want to cheapen it by bringing him back.

It really feels to me like Joey was the guy who was getting all the locals booked once they started blowing up, and I'm guessing he didn't get any booking power when he came back from TNA. Look at the timeline, and it makes sense. I do remember one of those local talents calling it CZW West in 12 or 13.

I honestly miss alot of the local talent.
That's what made PWG special for me. It was a mix. It had the super talent. But then it also had the local guys. And, they often mixed and got matches you wouldn't see anywhere else. In some cases resulting in some of those local guys becoming the super talent.

It just seems weird to me that Joey would totally be okay with losing booking power like that.

I guess I'll post this here since it sort of counts as PWG talk.. Fantasy booking some PWG. Which of these posters for DDT4 is better? [/quote]

Greetings from Comic Con! While walking around, got to meet the Young Bucks as well as PWG Legend Scott Lost. And after buying my Bullet Club shirt (and getting it signed by Finn Bálor, which was a nice bonus), I got to talking with Scott about possibly coming back. Figured I'd share with you guys.
He said he gets the itch every now and then, but seeing PWG where it's at right now is astounding to him. He feels like he wouldn't match where a lot of the guys are, which I slightly disagree with.
Talked about Chris Bosh as well. Him teaming with Bosh was and I quote, "the best times of my career." Surprisingly Bosh is out in Texas now with a wife and kids. He texted Dino Winwood two days ago, and Dino messaged Scott about it. Scott's passed his info along, so hopefully one can convince the other to get the band back together. Also, the Lioncock is still a favorite of his.
He didn't know Dragon came back until someone showed him the aftermath video. I found out he and Dragon are the exact same age (same date of birth, which caught me off guard), so he caught the itch after hearing Dragon's still wrestling. But he enjoys retirement, so unfortunately he won't be back in the ring any time soon if ever.
Also spoke with Matt and Nick, talking about some PWG moments. Nick's favorite match was apparently Threemendous III, though he may have said that since I mentioned that was my first live PWG event.
Oh, and some guy named Sami was there. Cool dude.

Dude...you need to get back to Scott. You need to work some type of magic to get Scott, Dino, and Bosh to all come out of retirement to work out one final match against WCTT at Threemendous IV. You would be a god among men if you were to help in making that happen.

God damn, I love Chris Hero. Admist all the high spots and spectacular moves, his matches are so smart and I love it. He's seriously one of the best around after all these years.
