So if anybody looks forward to my post PWG show notes, I apologize for not posting any last night. I have a class on Saturday mornings now; so as soon as I got home last night, I went to bed. I do have notes for Night 2 though: -The heat outside is brutal. It f***ing sucks. f*** Reseda and the San Fernando Valley -Inside is not much better. Even with the AC on. -This show was up there in the sense of packing in the Legion Hall. It was about to burst with people inside. -The show started off with a new ring announcer who looks vaguely like Gerard Butler. He's Gerard Butler:Ring Announcer to me now. - No Justin Bordin this show. We really gave it to him good last night. Perhaps his feelings were hurt? - Scurll/Swann opened up the matches. It was a solid opener; lots of fun. Marty is definitely over with the Reseda crowd. Rightly so, might I add. He's awesome. - Evans/Angelico followed. In my opinion, it was the worst match on the show. That's not to say it was outright bad; it was just okay. Jack kept talking at the beginning and that took a lot away from the match I felt. With that said though,Evans and Angelico did this pretty cool Drunken Master spot. - Thatcher/Hero followed. My disdain for Hero the performer is spreading. He got some noticeable boos and hisses throughout. Again, I should note that I've personally met and spoken to Chris for a bit. He's a great dude. I just love to boo his wrestling persona. Anyways, Thatcher is over huuuuggggeeee. The crowd was hot for this match from the intros. Great, great technical wrestling match. Thatcher got 'Please Come Back!' chants. I'm sure he absolutely will. - I'll preface this point by saying that I'm not the biggest lucha fan out there. However, Aero Star/Fenix v. Drago/Pentagon Jr was AMAZING!!!!! What a match this was. Awesome high flying everywhere. Seriously awesome match. Even Da Meltz was impressed. - Out of the intermission we got Tommy End v. Gulak. Reseda loves both dudes. As for the match, it was as old-school technical/brawling as it could get. I say that as a complete positive. In fact(and slight spoilers here), the match ended with a punch right on the button. It was a nice change of pace from the bonkers lucha match. - Guys, Speedball is so over, it's nuts. I've been saying this for months, but I really believe he's the next Generico. As far as Drew Galloway is concerned, two things: 1. He's waaaaayyyy taller than I imagined. 2. Believe the Galloway hype. He really did impress me this match. The guy was great with Speedball working a 'David v. Goliath' style match. He even got 'Please Come Back!'chants. I was right there cheering for him to come back as well. Anyways, this match was great. - ZSJ/Ricochet. What else do I have to say? Just two of the best wrestlers on the planet doing what they do best. It was 20 minutes of intense wrestling and striking. What really stood out to me was how Ricochet changed his style up to wrestler Zach. He kept his aerial stuff to a minimum and did more than hold his own going move for move with ZSJ. This was to me, from a purely wrestling standpoint, the best match of the night. Amazing stuff. -Finally, the main event. Two words to describe everything: Mass Chaos. It was definitely one of my favorite GW matches that I've seen in person in my six years of attending PWG shows. Dragon was a f***ing animal and was laying waste to everybody. He took his fair share of nasty spots as well. The Bucks get so much it, it's insane. I think the heat they were getting was hotter than the heat inside the Legion Hall. Biff and TrEverett was awesome as well. Biff is great as the 'berzerker' brawler wrestler. You can really buy him going nuts and not giving a f*** during this match. TrEverett looked great too. Knox had some spots and was doing well...until he got stopped by the Bucks and destroyed him. Anyways, some spoilers here: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}After 2.0 won, Super Dragon was walking around pushing people and throwing their hats and foam fingers around. It got a bit intense with a few fans and him.
Anyways, they went to the back and Excalibur cut a promo saying how MR 2.0 were 'bullshit' and that the feud wasn't over by a long shot. He was asking us who'd we want on his team to taking down Mount Rushmore. During this promo, MR 2.0 came out and superkicked him and SD Psycho Drove him through a chair. At that point Hero came running down from the commentary table. He was about to start cutting a promo, but this insanely obnoxious Super Dragon fan kept giving Chris guff until Chris confronted him. Anyways, during this confrontation, MR 2.0 beat up Hero and walked back leaving all of the faces a mess. So Night #2 was better than Night #1. That's not to say that Night #1 sucked. It's just that Night #2 lived up to the hype and then some. I can't wait for later today(it's early Sunday morning in LA as I type). I'm not looking forward to standing in the sun at 2:30 in the afternoon when it'll be around 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Top Five matches for me tonight: 1. Guerrilla Warfare match 2. ZSJ/Ricochet 3. Lucha Tag 4. Speedball/Galloway 5. Hero/Thatcher

Evans/Angelico left me a little disappointed. I was expecting much more than what we got. However, all was forgiven with that lucha tag

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that the Lucha Tag was so good, people actually followed through with Lucha tradition and tipped the wrestlers for the awesome match. In other words, we threw money at them after to thank them for the insane match.

Sounds cool! Night 2 on paper looked to be the better card, happy to see it lived up to the hype.

Wait, wait, wait....are they teasing an Excalibur Return?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? If so, this makes me horny with joy.
Also, the ring announcer was Christian Cole. Good dude. He was or is Scorpio Sky's manager in CWFH. He was also one of Ryback's victims when he was a huge bully.

And your 2015 BOLA champion is... {Spoiler}Zack Sabre Jr. who submits Hero to win, after Baily was eliminated by Hero earlier.

I really want to watch BOLA, man. Sounds awesome. I finally watched Mystery Vortex III today (what a show!) and I'm waiting for Threemendous to be added to VOD.
Excited to watch this BOLA play out, though, when it gets added to VOD.

That's who I thought it'd be. {Spoiler}I'm more than fine with it, though I'd also have been down with Hero winning. ZSJ was my pick. Anyone was better than Bailey for me. I don't even think the dude's a bad wrestler, but man do I hate his look. I'm sure that's the point but I actively dislike it. Also, just as a general statement, Fat Elder Statesman Chris Hero is probably my favorite thing going on in the indies, period.

{Spoiler}Really wanted to see Bailey go all the way but I have no problem with ZSJ winning since that means we'll inevitably get another match between he and Roddy for the belt which will be awesome. Also wanted to see Pentagon go all the way to the finals but he still had a decent showing and I hope that's not the last we see of him in PWG.
