That thread the other day about the most famous wrestlers in pop culture and such made me think of this, maybe this is a stupid question but in your opinion are there moves from wrestling which have crossed over and are known by even non fans?
Two that spring to mind are the clothesline and the RKO with it's recent online fame. For some reason I feel like the DDT and chokeslam are kind of known more than other moves. Any others you've even heard referenced in weird places?

The Chokeslam seems like it gets a lot of references.

Bodyslam seems to be the go-to when people talk wrestling.

Bodyslam.
whenever a newspaper or something makes reference to wrestling or a wrestler they always mention a bodyslam.
A full nelson might be on there too.

Bodyslam is certainly the most used wrestling move word. But many of the references to a "bodyslam" are not in fact bodyslams.

Dropkick may be third behind clothesline and bodyslam

Bodyslam is the obvious answer but in the last decade every stuffy news agency uses the word "smackdown" instead of any other reference.
So that's my answer. The "smackdown". It's a move that doesn't exist but it's the most used.

I always considered it like a cross between a fight and a hoedown.

Dropkick. I hear it more than bodyslam or suplex.

The clothesline is pretty famous. Don't know if it was created by wrestling but you often hear sports announcers in football refer to a bad tackle as a clothesline to the face or something.

Well I've heard Nancy Grace talk about the famous figure four headlock. Well, it is an actual amateur wrestling pinning maneuver involving wrapping the legs atoms an opponents head in the shape of a 4.

Piledriver and dropkick are what i tend to hear the most...and they are almost guaranteed to be wrong.
(I know that a punt can be a "drop kick")
