The point was to look like they gave DB a "fair shot" and Roman gets the rub from the company's most over guy. I don't see a problem with it. Roman looks good and Bryan maintains his integrity. Face it folks, Bryan is the most over guy on the roster. He doesn't need the title. Who did that? We did. Bah to that logic. The most over guy on the roster should either be chasing the title or holding the title. Imagine if the Attitude Era saw that Steve Austin didn't need the title, so he jobs while Ken Shamrock goes to the main event. In the Attitude era there were established guys and the title changed constantly. In this era, WWE is trying to make main event stars from guys who havent been with the company long. Just a year ago we were talking how Wyatt, Reigns, Rusev et al were green as grass. We're in a different era. In order to buy any of these guys as main eventers, the stars sometimes have to lose. To me, Bryan looked just as strong as he always does even though he lost. Take a look at this thread. Bryan helped get Reigns over. All everyone is talking about is what a great match they had and how Reigns was able to keep up. If I'm Vince I'd be standing at gorilla in front of a big "mission accomplished" banner.

How is that anything but a 'f*** you!' to the fans? How does this company even still have fans? Why am I asking so many questions? It isn't anything but that. No popular alternative. Bewilderment.

I would have rather had a triple threat. We need some unpredictability, since that's been a huge problem for Reigns (which is why he was shammed at the RR).

See more on Know Your MemeHow surprising. EDIT: Although the match itself wasn't bad.

And here's another question that I'd love for the WWE to answer: You face a huge backlash because Bryan is eliminated like he was at the Rumble. You announce that he gets a shot to go to WrestleMania if he can beat Reigns at Fastlane. Reigns beats him clean as a sheet. How is that anything but a 'f*** you!' to the fans? How does this company even still have fans? Why am I asking so many questions? Because it was one city and no one really gave a shit outside of them. It has been 50/50 at best, really more Roman love heading into tonight. Injury and booking has killed Bryan's popularity.

I don't see why people are hyped that Reigns will face Lesnar. Do you guys know Bryan is leagues better than Lesnar and that Bryan is a ring general? Do you know Bryan can actually have a match with Casper and have it be at least 4 stars? That's not Lesnar. I get a feeling people don't understand how bad this is. Lesnar is great but he needed Cena and Rollins for that Rumble match. I am extremely curious to see how it goes. That's a big part of it for me. Roman just had his first great singles match. Lesnar has had a good handful since returning. Can they put it together? I like that element of it. I highly doubt it because honestly Bryan's just that damn good. He turns any match into greatness. Lesnar is great too but he's not Bryan. LOL Brock is one of the best in the world. Brock needs an experienced guy in the ring to go with. That's why he's been with Cena, Show, Triple H, Punk and Rollins since he's returned. I love Brock, he's amazing but assuming he's as great as some of these others with laying a match out is what I think people are underestimating. Do people really think Brock will be the one to give plays during the Reigns match? Come on now. Besides, Rollins couldn't get a great match out of Reigns but Bryan could, that tells you something. It's just a different ballgame here. I don't see why people are hyped that Reigns will face Lesnar. Do you guys know Bryan is leagues better than Lesnar and that Bryan is a ring general? Lesnar is great but he needed Cena and Rollins for that Rumble match. I really like Reigns and I like Lesnar. Lesnar is a great worker and I believe Reigns is severely underrated. I believe they can pull off a great match. I don't. Brock's great in the ring but I don't think he can put together a great match with Reigns especially if Rollins, a guy who meshes better with Reigns, couldn't do it not that long ago. Bryan's just that good.

And who was asking for another road to redemption? Bryan was made last year and the stamp who put on him as being the Number one face of the company cause of his Mania win, so he should the "the guy". This year he's not even in the title match. Making his whole thing he did last year worthless.

If he'd had a better showing in the match and lost at the end (supposedly) there wouldn't have been much of a backlash at all.
This match gave Bryan his (kayfabe) fair shot and they had a really good bout together. In the end, Bryan gave his all but came up short. I don't see how it's a 'f*** you' to the fans, unless it's the people who lose their shit everytime Bryan doesn't get the Cena treatment. It was a good match, nothing wrong with it.

And I would respectfully disagree about it being just 'one city'.

Not gonna lie, I had absolutely zero interest in seeing Bryan main event WrestleMania so this result is fine with me. Dude already had his moment, what's the point of doing it all over again just because he got injured? Personally, it doesn't really piss me off that Bryan isn't in the main-event again. It pisses me off that there are other guys who should be instead of Roman Reigns. But their family tree isn't as attractive, so f*** 'em. I'm of the same mindset. I don't really care if Daniel Bryan is in the main event, and frankly, I'm actually sort of fine with it. And while I'm not in love with Roman Reigns getting the title match, I can rationalize it and they have five weeks to build my interest. Hell, all it took was one eight-minute interview with Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Brock Lesnar in a WWE studio in Stamford a few weeks back to pique my interest. The biggest issue I have is that I feel there are more deserving candidates, namely, Dolph Ziggler. The guy seemingly had a rocket glued to his ass last November after coming back from a 3-on-1 deficit in this match that was forever supposed to alter the WWE landscape, and on top of it, he gets the win with an assist from STING of all people. But unfortunately, he went nowhere and is going nowhere. That to me is a bigger crime than not being able to replay the build to WrestleMania XXX one year later.

I switched off after the 3 count. Did Bryan give him a blowee after the match while Vince stood by nodding along? Yelled at Roman "You better kick his ass" and did an angry hand slap. Eh, close enough. save_us.seth

Here's a challenge to people who aren't happy with the WrestleMania main event and who they're pushing: Put your money where your mouths are and buy the ROH internet pay-per-view next month. Watch another show, do something. Find an alternative, don't just bitch. A lot of you guys do that, but I cannot even begin to count the amount of people who watch WWE, hate it, but don't even give any other company a shot because "it's not WWE."

Wow. 2 straight ppvs end with the "top face" being booed out of the building.
Reigns really IS the new Cena.
It's unbelievable how badly WWE can f*** up a wet dream.

If all Daniel Bryan has for him at WrestleMania is a match with Dolph Ziggler, I hope it's got some incentive to it. Like, the winner gets a title shot at Extreme Rules or something. It can't just be a match with nothing on the line other than two guys trying to steal the show.

Another thing I hate about Bryan-Sheamus is there's nothing I hate more in wrestling than a last minute match-up where they wait the end of a match of the last PPV before the big show to create a feud for that big show. Even Orton-Rollins was way too late. They should have had Orton cost Seth the title at the Royale Rumble.

My hate of WWE led to my recent interest in NJPW, so I suppose I should thank WWE for their all-time low product they're putting out now.
