I think it's time to face the fact that Daniel Bryan is done in reality in the WWE. Here are the facts:
1: He has his grand Wrestlemania moment in 2014. The top Wrestlemania spot is rare and coveted. It's someone elses time, Roman Reigns. It's just fair to spread around the mania spot.
2: He looked so dejected when he was walking away after being eliminated in the Rumble last night. I had a feeling he was going to be eliminated last night the first 30 seconds he was wrestling, he did not really show the usual passion he has for the art. Is this was CM Punk felt when he was told he was not getting his Mania moment?
3: Roman Reigns is being book as strong as possible, and pardon the pun, on the fast lane to stardom. WWE never spent the cash to bring in a big A++++ name like the Rock to get Bryan the extra rub to pass the torch. Rock passed the torch last night to Reigns.
4: Vince and company NEVER intended to push Bryan the way they did from the start. He NEVER had the "look" that Vince likes. They were forced to push him because of CM Punk, Batista, and the fans. Vince will only allow the fans to dictate his booking ONE time - and that was in 2014 when we all got our Bryan mania moment.
5: There was never any realistic way they would trust Bryan with the top spot again right after coming off such a severe injury. I am not sure they will ever trust Bryan again after such a severe injury. It would be very bad PR if Bryan ends his run in the ring due to a severe or even fatal injury. Sadly, Bryan's popularity factors into this, if they push Bryan hard and his healing does not hold up the fans will of course blame the WWE for pushing Bryan too early before he had time to heal.
I am a fan of Bryan, a huge fan. I just do not see this ending well for him this time.

I've pretty much accepted as much. I think he's entering 2005 Benoit/Guerrero mode where he's back to the midcard but still booked above everyone else in the division.

So if it's fair to spread around the WrestleMania main event spot, why has Cena main evented nearly every Mania for the past 10 years?
And is this going to be Reigns only WM main event, someone else will get the spot next year?

So not being the absolute top dog, face of the company wrestler for the most prominent wrestling organization on the planet, and only being a highly featured top 5 guy instead means you are done?
Well shit I learned something new today.

He is still going to make a lot of bank, but never be the top star again. It's a respectable position to make bank for retirement in a safer way.

Well shit I learned something new today. From what I can tell if Bryan isn't winning every match and in the main event of every show he's getting buried. I can only imagine the outroar if WWE would have booked Lesnar to squash Bryan like they did Cena. I also still can't figure out how people are thinking Bryan is being treated badly. He just came back from a major injury and has been advertised and featured prominently by the WWE. Not really sure what WWE has done wrong in regards to Bryan.

This is something I think a lot of fans are not really getting. Bryan just came back from 9 months off because of not only a neck injury, but also nerve issues in his arm. It's fair of WWE to want to see that Bryan's body can hold up under the strain of a full time schedule again. Also is someone coming back from a neck injury really someone fans want to see get thrown around the ring by Lesnar for 20-30 minutes? One german suplex and Bryan's neck is gone again. Right or wrong, in WWE's eyes they gave Bryan that shot last year, against their will, and Bryan got hurt almost immediately. He's 33 with a lot of miles on his body. WWE's got 3-4 new guys they want to push to the next level in Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, and Wyatt. We fans have been calling for WWE to build and make new stars so when they finally do, fans crap on that? Just idiotic to me.

The problem with this is that Lesnar's one of the safest guys they have in the company. Brock's extremely safe, Austin said it right when he said that if Lesnar wasn't extremely safe, he wouldn't have been wrestling Taker. Austin said the dude was soft like a baby, it's just that Lesnar makes it look rough. He's that good. As for Bryan, he is 33 with a lot of miles but the thing is you're naming guys like Bray who, to my knowledge, had more injuries in the WWE system than Bryan has. I think people are really underestimating how safe Lesnar is and hell how healthy Bryan is. The guy is rarely injured. He just had a major issue recently but given how people are taking it, they're assuming Bryan's one German Suplex from being paralyzed. Come on now.

So we'll ask the guy who deliberately sandbagged Lesnar and paid for it rather than the main eventers he actually had to deal more with the rest of the time in WWE? Sure, makes sense.

I had no idea today's Lesnar is the same as Lesnar back in the early 2000s.

Anyone else tired of this recent trend of new posters making threads that sound like the rants and raves of a 13 year old who just discovered the internet? Shits out of control the past few weeks.
