Based off of tonight's interviews, I really think Seth is just terrible on the mic. Nothing he says comes off natural at all, he's trying way too hard. Roman's had some bad stuff written for him, but the delivery is always decent and sounds fairly natural. I thought Roman was excellent tonight, especially in the segment with Paul and Brock. I know there are a lot of critics out there that say Roman is bad on the mic and therefore shouldn't be in the main event, but to be fair, Brock is probably worse. Daniel Bryan really has never really been what I would call excellent, either. I don't even really care for Dean's delivery and overall personality.
But between Seth and Roman, the two biggest new guys, who's worse on the mic?

Roman. Seth is good at that snivelling brat role which is pretty tough to pull off convincingly.

It isn't even close. Seth's gotten way better.

Seth's voice can be grating. It's why he was born to play the heel. Roman's voice is better and more suited for main event face status, but they gotta keep him away from Elmer Fudd quotes and stories about ambitious tortoises.

Roman Reigns.
Let's just talk about something else I'm too salty over the last 24 hours.

Roman is worse, but he's not as bad as some make him out to be. A little thing I think helps Seth is the slight Iowa accent he has. It contributes to his natural voice to create a slightly annoying tone that grates on your ears. Not great if you're going for a job interview, but it works perfect for a chickenshit heel.

Roman > Seth > Bryan ... not that any of them are good.

Roman. But that's because Seth is actually quite good on the mic.

Seth has been awesome on the mic as of late, especially in the segments when he forced Cena to bring back The Authority and when he threatened Paul Heyman.

Seth has improved by leaps and bounds since The Shield break-up. Reigns has had almost no shining moments on the mic since then, and has actually gone down since the break. He could be hidden, and play the strong silent type in the Shield. Since the split, he has been on his own and floundering on the mic. To be fair though, he was still way over with the crowd after that (really good IMO) SS match with Orton. Orton really had a great match. The surgery and time off really cooled his jets. Can't really blame him too much for his loss of momentum. He had it and then he was out. The crowd already has a short attention span. Bryan is immune, but I'm sure the same thing could happen with Ziggler. And I LOVE me some Ziggler.

I think Seth is quite good on the mic. Not so much for Roman.

Well I see I'm alone in my opinion. I'll just go sit in this corner by myself and mind my own business.

Seth is pretty hit and miss for me. Sometimes he's amazing, but once in a while he'll say something that makes me cringe.
Roman OTOH has a long way to go before he is even an adequate promo.

Seth is better on the mic than Reigns, by far to me. The threats he made to Lesnar tonight were not convincing at all to me.

How is this even a contest? They may have both started out shaky on the mic, but Seth has surpassed him by a country mile.

Roman. Though can someone explain what "sounding natural" is to me? Everyone wrestler sounds natural when they speak unless they stumble over words consistently or forget what they're supposed to say. I mean, I read a lot of how Cesaro sucks on the microphone and I've seen examples of where his accent gets in the way, but he seems ok with speaking on the microphone - it's just his material (whoever it's written by) hasn't been all that memorable or good. The problem is that I was just at a house show and he had a segment with Chris Jericho where he sounded like a completely different person, he was actually good IMO. It wasn't a long segment but it was basically him hyping himself as a great wrestler and it worked, especially since everyone has seen how good he is and that really can't be denied. It worked to his strengths. Point being; WWE sucks at writing promos and should keep it simple, stupid...unless you have a guy like Heyman/Punk/etc. They won't though, stay tuned next week on RAW when they decide it's actually Cesaro who should be reciting Elmer Fudd's lines instead of Reigns.
