This is another example of why Paul Heyman is the best mic guy in all of professional wrestling. Bar none.
Once Brock leaves (assuming he leaves), I want Paul running a Dangerous Alliance style main event stable with Rollins as the crown jewel. Anything to keep Heyman in the mix.

Heyman was awesome. Brock looked like he could care less which is to be expected. Reigns looked a lot better than he would if they had tried that promo in the ring in front of people booing the crap out of him. He did look nervous, if you watch his hands when speaking to Brock he doesn't exactly project confidence but maybe i am being harsh.
One question though - how come now they are going big on his family history? They have barely mentioned it before last night (that I can remember at least) and now it's like this big thing? Why not focus on that from the start of his run as the new 'main guy'

Why not focus on that from the start of his run as the new 'main guy' Again, I'm assuming damage control. The problem there is that the family connection is one of the reasons a lot of people point to as to why he's getting the push in the first place, which breeds more contempt and resentment.

Yes, it's well known Vince has always had a crush on Samoan's. Reigns is getting pushed because of his family. It makes a lot of sense really.

The more Paul Heyman talks the better for this match. This feud will need to be Heyman's best work ever, he's the key to this whole thing.

Heyman is great.
But that standoff at the end was awkward as hell imo.

It was actually pretty damn good. Heyman was superb as always and I think Reigns held his own fine enough.

Reigns' statement didn't make sense. "I know and you know I will beat you."
"But if I don't....."
There was another contradiction, but it was a rush job so I can't be top critical.

Perhaps Lesnar is the one who wanted to fight Reigns?

Yeah, I remember the Rosey title program, that was one crazy summer. You mention Rosey and I think of his partner, Jamal, or Umaga. It shocks me that Umaga never got a title run. I was certain he would win it sometime in 2006 or early 2007.

I was certain he would win it sometime in 2006 or early 2007. If he was clean, I think he'd have had a chance, but he was always kind of wild, which is what got him released the first time. He was talented as hell, but he also injured people and couldn't keep clean. A shame, too, as I was a huge fan of the guy.

Just so we're clear.
"I'm the Rock, and I heartily endorse Roman Reigns!" BOOOOOOOOOOOO! Refunds! Cancel the Network! BOOOOOOOOOOO! #OustVince! BOOOOOOOOO!
I'm Paul Heyman. I'm going to talk for just a moment about how awesome Roman Reigns is, and where he comes from." B...hmmmmm.... You know what? Maybe.

I liked this a lot.
Granted when Paul Heyman is doing most of the talking it;s always going to be good but it still felt real and important and I thought Roman Reigns did well. This is the version of Reigns that I like and can get behind, not the lame stand up comedian stuff he's been doing recently.
WWE should be doing more of these in studio pieces, the controlled nature of them helps get across characters so much better.

Apart from Reigns contradicting himself he held himself well for the most part. The end of "Unlike him, I don't respect you"... "But you will" was a great sign off.

It made me laugh with how homoerotic it came across at moments.
I believe in Lesnar, but we'll see what Roman has to offer in subsequent weeks.
