Ok guys, sad I have to make this my first post. I am one of the unfortunate who cannot get the WWE Network. I paid full price for this PPV through my cable company. I disliked the Rumble save for the title match with Mr. Sweat, Crossfit Jesus, and Prototype. That was very enjoyable!
So I hear RAW was canceled tonight in it's usual format. So I tune into the show from WWE HQ, and what do I discover? WWE decides to air the FULL RUMBLE for free, less than 24 hours since I paid full price for it. Who the HELL made this decision? Am I a sucker, for paying full price for the Rumble in good faith. After all, I should have assumed they would air it for free the main Rumble match less than 24 hours after I paid $50 bucks for it, right?
To say my jaw was dropped when they announced this then shown it is an understatement. I am VERY pissed off, and I am going to do what I have never done before - call my cable company and BITCH like crazy about this, and demand a refund or I swear I will drop the damn service and go to AT&T DSL/Television.
I cannot be alone, can I? Does anyone else get screwed over, and is considering demanding a refund? This was totally classless by the WWE and it really shows a total lack of respect for the fans. I really feel like a jackass supporting this product now. The product sucks as it is and I had buyers remorse from watching the Rumble because I expected Daniel Bryan to win and was forced to suffer the forced feeding of Reigns directly down my throat. It's bad enough the product sucks, but to be virtually raped by the WWE in the wallet is downright sadisticand cruel.

Why anybody would expect Bryan to win when roman has been reported to win for months is beyond me, but if I had paid for that, I'd definitely ask for a refund. And you'll likely get it.

I'd be angry if I paid ANY money for anything, if they would air it for free the next day
It's a punch in the gut, and now the WE WANT REFUNDS chant are even more poetic.

I get why you're pissed, but your first mistake was expecting Bryan to win the Rumble, when it's been clear for weeks that Reigns was winning. If you bought the PPV soley to see Bryan win, you have no one to blame but yourself. Sorry.

Go ahead and call the cable company and give it a shot. Don't expect them to give you a refund, but go ahead and try. The threat of cancelling your service could help you because cable/satellite companies are in a place now where they absolutely do not want to lose customers. Cord cutting and streaming services like Netflix have really put a dent in their business.

To be fair I'm sure WWE was under a lot of pressure from the USA Network to deliver big since Raw is one of their highest rated shows and WWE was already losing shit ton of money cancelling one taping this week. Plus the PPV numbers in the states are low and that's their homebase.

That does not forgive the fact they aired the Rumble match less than 24 hours after paying customer forked over up to $50 bucks to see the Rumble Match. I am getting my damn refund and will not be burned again, trust me.

It's not your cable company's fault that WWE are assholes.

He's not at fault for buying the Rumble and expecting the guy he likes to win. If he bought it and it had a different outcome, that sucks but fine.
WWE offered the Rumble up at full price, aired the full thing for free the next day, and is just shrugging it off. That's the issue at hand.

What did you want them to show? The fireplace channel for three hours? It's not like they pre planned showing the rumble, they had little other choice.

Your cable provider totally had influence on the Weather...
RAW hasn't run as scheduled (but it has still ran, see: Longest running weekly episodic pr....blah) a very small number of times, in 22 or so years...
it's one of those things, that just sometimes happens... Your Cable provider had no control over it, and the WWE had a mere few hours to put something together... I say they done bloody well

The point is they chose to give a giant FU to the paying customers. This really shows me how little they truly think of their customer base to jerk us around like this. Forget Reigns, this is a REAL screwing over of the fans. I have no idea what they could have shown but even sitting down with every talent that was on the Rumble to discuss it and what their desires are for the future would have been far better than screwing over customers. The stuff with Dean Ambrose was cool, so was the Reigns/Lesnar segment. Why not take the time to give all the talent who was on the Rumble some promo time to try to get over with Michael Cole? This could have been a great chance to slow down and have them explain themselves to the fans to have us feel where they are coming from. WWE is used to re-writing stuff down to the last minute on the fly, they could have done this.

My point was that if you bought the PPV just to see Bryan win, then that's where you went wrong. Get your money. I'd try if I paid full price & got it free the next night.

Well part of the value in PPV is to watch the show live. It sucks but it's not like WWE planned for this.

This isn't a regular occurrence or even a planned occurrence. Mother Nature shot down Raw and they need to keep the storylines going and ratings up, I think they did the right thing. And buying the PPV is to see it air at that time for that price. There's no obligation for it not to be aired for free or a reduced price to others afterwards. Refunds should be for when you don't actually get to see the show because the feed goes out, not for when you're mad that other people got to see it for free the next day.

At least be kind to the cable company when you call. You attract more flies with honey.

Especially when a site like YouTube exists. Plus USA Network was probably expecting their usual weekly ratings and wanted to salvage WWE from getting really low ratings during the network's primetime hour ratings. What they did was fine with showing two big matches for free and having some interviews and making some big match announcements. I was more dissapointed in the fact there is no WWE ring set up in the corporate head offices. Like I was expecting there is a secret room in Vince McMahon's office that has a wrestling ring and an entrance ramp.

I will be civil with the cable company, but I have been ready to leave them for 2 months. I have the bargaining power and since I know the WWE does not have the class to admit this mistake or even own up to it someone else has to pay. I intend to let the cable company know exactly why I want a refund and why I will never purchase a WWE pay per view again because WWE aired a show the cable company decided to carry for free the very next day, at least a very major part of it the match that is on the marquee. I would think they would not be very happy with the WWE for pulling shit like this on them as well.
