blizzard a bust? NYC is getting drenched right now Original totals were from 30" to 36" inches, revised totals are from 8" to 12" so it's sort of a bust talking about NYC, boston will get hammered. Source : The Weather Channel

You need to take these decisions early. They wouldn't have known that the storm wasn't as bad as originally predicted at the time the decision was taken to cancel the show.

Seriously. It's not really that bad in NYC. But that's because the luxury of living here means everything important is within a walking distance.

They should have had an empty arena Raw , at least that would have been unique

Would have been handy if they had a guy with a Snow Plow gimmick. * That's a freebie for the Simpsons thread EDIT: sorry I did it myself

Sorry, I confused it with the time my governor made it. I still think this nanny state travel ban is crap though. But that rant is for another forum, and another time. Don't remember travel bans 20 years ago when "men were men" lol There was only 3 inches by the time RAW would have got out, I checked it on the Weather Channel. Hindsight is 20/20 though. Better safe than sorry You don't think 15,000 people potentially getting stranded in an arena is a big deal but literally cried rape over WWE airing the Rumble for free the night after you paid for it. Awesome.

Getting stranded in a blizzard to see the Usos versus Miz and Mizdow at least two more times, oh lordy.

To be honest I would have loved to see Ambrose walk to the arena and head inside and just camp out there and be like "First one here. Might as well make the most of it" and it starts cutting to him at the concession stand pigging out on food cooking stuff over a bonfire, riding a zamboni around the halls and in the arena, etc. That would have been f**king awesome

Yeah, this was a joke. People/businesses lost a lot of money for what turned out to be a few inches of snow (at least in my area).
I wish I had a job where I could be so wrong about something, to the point where it effected everyone in certain states, and still got to keep my high paying job.
But yes, the WWE was right to cancel. Unfortunately, in situations like this, there's no way to work around it without looking bad.

Living pretty far north in Norway I find this whole situation quite surreal and a bit funny.

They probably saved a shed load of money though.

In not even mad they canceled. If it keeps talent and fans safe, then that was the right call.

There's well over a foot in both Boston and Hartford. They probably couldn't have had the show, honestly. The only place that seems to have lucked out is New York City proper. Everywhere else is still getting blitzed.

And can you imagine the furore if they'd gone ahead against government warnings?
