I'm hearing an endless amount of praise for it, apparently it brought the house down.
It sounds great and all, but I really, reeeaaaally don't want to sit through any more anti-Cena crowds. Yes, he's written like garbage, I get the reasons why, but I don't think I'll be able to shake that "how dare you?" chill towards the Philly fans. I know that sounds bad on my part, I know they're there to express themselves and have fun, but still.
So does the quality of the match override that?

Yeah, but Lesnar and Rollins are the key components of what made the match awesome. Cena's just kind of there, doing his thing. A definite third wheel.

Absolutely. I am sick of Cena booing as well but I noticed the fans were popping for ANY near fall, because Brock is booked as death on two legs and so anyone beating him is getting a pop, I think. Maybe even Roman, who knows. But then I am used to the booing now.
Also, inb4 people pointlessly and unfairly complaining about a Clash Cena thread.

I think it was the best match Brock has been in this run.

I don't understand what you're trying to ask here.
Does a great match cancel out Cena being booed? What?

Cena did great in the match. He was booed in his entrance but wasn't totally booed out of the building during the match like Reigns later was because Cena was adding to an exciting match.

Personally, I didn't really care for the match. It felt like 75% of it was just Lesnar suplexing people and then slowly walking them over and picking them up and suplexing them again. And Lesnar's booking has no drama, because he just suddenly decides to stop being hurt, so I couldn't get involved in anything they were doing to try to hurt him.

If anything else comes along this year to dethrone it as WWE match of the year, this will be an amazing year for wrestling.

They are mainly terrible during the entrance. Skip Cenas entrance and they are actually an okay crowd for this match. It is a terrible shame they reacted the way they did during the rumble I think they would have been remembered as a good crowd otherwise.

Well, yes. Considering Cena has been booed for the last 10 years, you think you'd be used to it by now.

Absolutely, I was thrilled.
...but I don't watch the show every week, so maybe I'm easy to please.

Actually, it's a main reason why I've been less interested in the product lately. Normally I couldn't care less about other fans hating something I enjoy, but live crowds (whether WWE likes it or not) are a major part of the show. I don't blame audiences for being sick of the "status quo", but unfortunately I enjoy their status quo guy more than anybody on the roster right now.

It's only crowds like Philly where Cena gets universal hate. And why is it only affecting you now? Why not 8-9 years ago?

I cant blame them for losing interest in the match halfway through. Bryan was the guy most people in the arena wanted to see win. If you go to any sporting event, if your favourite team has no chance of winning, the atmosphere is hardly going to be jubilant. (I should know, I support a lot of crappy teams and have personally sat through many of these situations! )

Which is a main reason while it is so bizarre that people think this crowd represents the entire WWE universe. It dosen't it is just a small part of it. It doesn't, but it can. Even though there's only a few crowds that universally hate Cena, at least some hate of Cena is universal. It's very rare you will find a completely pro-Cena crowd and there's good reason for that. The true test is the coming weeks for Reigns. If he gets a bad reaction, then it's not a fluke.

I'm indifferent to the Reigns backlash myself. He doesn't annoy me or anything, but it might be because I'm not watching it every week like before. On the other hand I don't think he's ready for such a juggernaut push either.
The Cena stuff just reminds me how far removed I am from like 98% of the fandom.
