The new artist of Rat Queens has an OGN called Sunstone out that I've been reading. its a very tasteful look at what 50 Shades of Grey tried to be, except with two chicks. Its not porny at all, though there is moderate nudity. More than anything its a really funny and endearing look at a microcosm of BDSM.

I really dug the new Alex+ Ada and Sex Criminals this week. The conclusion to TMNT/Ghostbusters was just as fun as the rest of the series. Meanwhile, Transformers Drift: Empire Of Stone finally gets somewhat interesting with issue 3 of a 4 issue series.

At least Batman was good this week And Next Week we got the finale of Spider-Verse I read Tom D's comments on the Spider-Girl forums saying he set something up in his Mayday story that will tie into the climax. Spidev editor Nick Lowe also said Mayday is the "canary in the coal mine" that you have to watch for in the story.

Luna takes normally mundane things and makes them unsettling or terrifying masterfully. The whole subplot with Alex's grandma or whomever and her droid really set an interesting backdrop to Alex & Ada's issues.

I really expected my order this week to be delayed because of the storm, but it was right on time. Nice!

Picked up Marvel Masterworks: X-Men Volume 7 the other day. Collects stories from other series while the actual X-Men series just put out reprints. The big thing in this volume is the story of Beast changing from a regular guy with whacked-out proportions into a monstrous-looking furball. Pretty cool.

The whole thing looks like a mid-90s toy campaign gone wrong.

Not only is he a great artist, he writes characters incredibly well. They all come across as very real and interesting. He also writes and draws DEATH VIGIL at Top Cow. Another recommended (and more "safe for work") book for his art and the wonderful conversational writing.

Its on my list right after I finish Sunstone and catch up on The Maxx.

Such a quick release after the first book because it's basically just stuff he has on his DeviantArt page, modified for print. I heard Vol.1 sold really well, too.

Its actually a really sweet, endearing book. Especially considering the subject matter.

I'm not going to lie, I've always hated the Legion of Super Heroes. But something made me pick up TPBs of them lately. Call it morbid curiosity, and hope it passes. Do you have any suggestions, recommendations, things like that?
