what the hell is even going on with that book? the second volume ended on a cliffhanger and then nothing. I wish I knew. I want more issues really bad! I've been waiting for an announcement like forever. Have Nick Spencer or Image said anything about news issues coming out?

As far as the big DC news, it sucks to say but I just don't care. New continuity, old continuity, no continuity, whatever. They'll just change it within five years anyway.
However, I'm very glad the only two DC books Im reading, Harley Quinn and He-Man, are unaffected by this. I will also be giving three new DC books a try, so there's that. The writers of Harley Quinn will be adding both Harley Quinn/Power Girl and Starfire to their resumes, so I'll check those books out. And Ennis and McCrea doing Section 8 should be pretty awesome.

Finished issue 3 of Death Vigil and its still really good. Interested to see how it ends and really solidifies my excitement at seeing Sejic on RAT QUEENS. Really a great fit for Wiebes style on that series.

Um, wow. Remember when FABLES #100 was a big 80-100 pager? Well, FABLES #150, the final issue of the series..........is going to be Volume 22 of the FABLES collection. ....the last issue is gonna be an entire trade paperback sized book.

I've been wanting to read Fables but it's seems so daunting with all the spinoffs and stuff. Also, would I need to be well versed in fairy tales, or is simply remembering the basic stories from my childhood and Disney flicks enough?

I've been wanting to read Fables but it's seems so daunting with all the spinoffs and stuff. Also, would I need to be well versed in fairy tales, or is simply remembering the basic stories from my childhood and Disney flicks enough? FABLES has been pretty self-contained. JACK OF FABLES did its own wacky thing and isn't necessary reading, and I think FAIREST has kinda tied in a bit, but not too much. And there was a big crossover a couple years ago (THE GREAT FABLES CROSSOVER) which......was not so great; easily the low point of the franchise. And if you have a good grasp on fairy tales, I think you'll be fine. Heck, you and I seem to share a similar starting point - knowing basics, and Disney stuff. And in the last year or so they even released a FABLES ENCYCLOPEDIA, which does a very nice job of giving some background and FAQ worthy info about characters from the franchise.

I'm getting a bit too carried away buying oversized hardcovers/omnibus/deluxe editions.
I just love how they look on the shelf

If I were a publisher I'd definitely try to get up on that Loot Crate tip right about now.

Well number 1 for February releases tomorrow, Star Wars: Darth Vader #1. I don't think it will get close to a million though.
