What I hate about that Flash costume is the fact that they changed the symbol from white to red in order to match the tv show. Yet a few episodes into this season Flash is getting the white symbol.

Went to bed before the scans for ASM#1 were completed, but I learned today that {Spoiler}Doc Ock uploaded his mind to the Living Brain, and that Regent from Renew Your Vows has carried over from Secret Wars

Over in the newspapers, MJ wants Peter to help her contact Sub-Mariner. It's so awesome seeing her actually want to team up with Peter and throw herself into danger to resolve an international crisis, it shows how willing she is to be an all-purpose ambassador to the superhero community when she knows she can have influence of this size on someone like Namor. This is the MJ we sorely need in the comics. Oh, and from what I hear about the Iron Man spoilers (I haven't read the issue, this is just what I learned on 4chan) {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Tony goes on a date that lasts EIGHT PAGES (because, surprise, it's Bendis and his usual decompressed method at work), the ending is a bit rushed, and the big "internet breaking" cliffhanger is that Doctor Doom is no longer scarred. No sign of MJ just yet

I think they said MJ shows up in like Issue 4.

Yeah, I still thought she'd show up in Issue One for some reason, just for a cameo to set up Issue Four. Aunt May has a supporting role in Howard the Duck also. And the general gist of Peter's role in Secret Wars this month is {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Arguing with Miles over an eight year old hamburger

People probably should read Siege before this weeks SW as for SW #6 {Spoiler}Val is suspicious of Doom
- There is an uprising of rebels (organized by The Maker). The barons come to Doom to ask what to do. Doom tells them to raise and army and crush them Sinister desides to be naughty.
- Reed and Maker are together, sending drones to spy on everything looking for a solution. The Maker's solution is the kill Doom. Reed worries what will happen to the universe if they do.
- the FF discover the source of Doom's power
- Reed's send the Spider-Men (Parker and Miles) to find the source. They run into Val who is there as well... Val shows them the door and leaves. Val also knows the Life Raft survivors did not kill Strange. They see Owen
- Namor and T'challa find Stranges "secret" place with secret artifacts of power. Namor gets a transportation thing. T'challa gets... A FULLY FORMED INFINITY GAUNTLET that will work in this world
oh and Namor and T'challa squash their beef
- We see the "story" of the F4... Johnny is the son. Ben Grimm is the wall/SHIELD. 616 Thanos convinces Grimm that this isn't him and he reforms

In the climax to the Spider-Girl back-up in Spider-Island {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Mayday changes to a new outfit, a hybrid of the traditional garb and her old outfit. She remarks that she is "unique" in that she has been raised by a happy and caring Peter Parker (a big take that to Slott if there ever was one since he got to depict Peter as a caring father in RYV) and will never forget him. She'll appear next in the first issue of Web Warriors

I think Batman & Robin Eternal has worked out what did work for the last Eternal title. One issue in, and there's already a clear plot, and we have specific questions instead of a random series of seemingly unrelated events. It probably helps a lot that this title will be half the length of the previous one. Hopefully it can keep this up.

I've recently started reading comics again after a huge absence (Haven't read regularly since Civil War... although I picked up some of Superior Spider-Man and Superior Foes of Spider-Man). Currently reading Ms. Marvel, Secret Wars, Amazing Spider-Man (Just finished V3 and the new issue of V4) and catching up with past issues of Spider-Woman and Silk.
Ms. Marvel is fantastic, already become one of my favourite ever comics.
From what I understand, the universe is basically being rebooted once Secret Wars concludes? Well... has started been rebooted I guess with this weeks comics. From the looks of the All New, All Different line, as well as continuing the series I'm reading I'm probably going to pick up Jessica Jones, two of the Avengers series and probably an X-Men one.
Anyway, a few questions if anyone can fill me in.
Why Captain America is an old man now?
What's the deal with the Inhumans, like why have they got a city on earth now?
What's happening with the X-Men? Like, why in Secret Wars do people not seem to trust Cyclops and why did he have what I assume was the Phoenix Force?
Has Wolverine not got his powers anymore? In one of the Ms Marvel issues he couldn't heal himself. Why did he lose his powers and is it a permanent loss?
Are there any major events/happenings/deaths I should know about?

I was delighted to see that Erica Henderson's SQUIRREL GIRL art is sort of an exaggeration of her actual art style, because JUGHEAD #1 looks great.

Are there any major events/happenings/deaths I should know about? - Got the super-serum sucked out of him by a bad guy. Falcon is now Cap. - Not too keen on that. - It was in X-Men vs. Avengers, when Cyclops and four others got the Phoenix powers and went a bit crazy. - Wolverine is actually kind of dead now.
