I don't understand, Steve Austin was no more physically appealing, impressive or marketable than Bryan but they gave in to crowd response fairly quick with him - rightly too.
Why does Bryan need to cure cancer before this company gives him a real, sustained shot?

If this newz is true, is putting Bryan vs Ziggler on first a good decision? The crowd is already going to crap all over Roman's victory (I believe they'll cheer Lesnar and boo Roman instead of 95% DB chants during the match) but why risk them cheering for DB and Ziggler during other matches? Remember after 18 seconds, Bryan chants were all over every match until Undertaker vs Triple H in a cell.

a view outside WWE headquarters. i understand them not wanting to do a Cinderella story 2 years in a row, but come, the fans are in the middle of a full blown revolt. nobody benifits from this decision.

I do see their point, he's nearing the end of his career, you don't give a guy who's nearly Cena's age Cenas spot as the franchise, you want to give it to one of the younger talents so you don't have to find the next franchise for a long while.
I see Bryan as this generations Mick Foley, a Veteran who towards the tail end of his career finally gets a big WWE run and gets over as rover but is never the "face of the company".

I do fear it is as simple as that. A half-insane old man who will linger until 998 years of age, no doubt.

It's like they see themselves as our mom and dad, and giving us what we want will spoil us and make us less productive wrestling fans later in life.

Why does Bryan need to cure cancer before this company gives him a real, sustained shot? Because there is no one out there to kick Vince in the nuts, take his cash and piss on him and WWE like Bischoff did. It is amazing what depths you'll stoop when that happens.

Wouldn't help the WWE but would be fun, lol.

There's no reason why several guys can't be pushed to the main event bracket. During the Attitude Era, they had Austin, Rock, Foley, Undertaker, HBK, Bret, and HHH who were all pushed as top stars. Secondly Daniel Bryan is four years younger than Cena. Neither guy is anywhere near the end of their careers, unforseen injuries aside. Daniel Bryan IS one of those younger talents you speak of.
