He wins the Rumble and ...
* Network tops 1 million subs
* Raw and Smackdown do their best ratings in forever
* WWE stock jumps 20 percent
* Massive mainstream publicity from Forbes to Rolling Stone, etc.
The facts speak for themselves. The people have spoken. The new champ is here.

I mean, you could also say this was fans being intrigued by WWE dropping such a hot talent as THE DAREWOLF!

Proof once again that Vince is always right. When will we learn.

I think that if anything it says that "making" an eh, whatever and a true fan favorite can be interchangeable, if not, it's almost better to knight someone people ain't with yet because the rabble rabble you create will still pull people into the product.
People aren't going "f*** Roman, I'm done" they can't wait to tune in the following week so they can actively hate him.

To think of all that time Vince wasted on Cena Linda would be president if Reigns had been the face of WWE this last decade.

There are lies. There are damn lies. And then there are statistics. No doubt Vince will credit all those positive numbers to Reigns, and maybe he's right.
I personally don't enjoy watching him. I'm not pushing for the cancelwwenetwork thing, nor am I thinking the wwe is actively giving the middle finger to the fans. I'm just not interested in seeing Reigns as the guy. I'm not looking forward to the Lesnar match. And I'll be fast forwarding through pretty much everything he does.

Specious logic is specious. Reigns haters think "specious" is an Olympics for people with disabilities.

Network topped 1 million subs due to people buying to watch the Rumble, not because Reigns won. Who knows how many have cancelled since that.
Stock jumped 20% due to people subbing to the network for the rumble, as above.

Stock jumped 20% due to people subbing to the network for the rumble, as above. A Rumble the vast majority knew Roman was going to win. So, as above, that's two wins for Roman.

People aren't going "f*** Roman, I'm done" they can't wait to tune in the following week so they can actively hate him. I'm going with this logic. I know 2 groups of people who watch wrestling, the ones who have been watching there whole lives and my son (8/9 year olds) and his friends. Of the first group, most can't wait for Raw to see what will happen next (the ones that like him to see his "journey", the ones who hate him want to watch to see him fall or say "I told you so" the ones that like him to cheer for him and likewise tell the haters the same, for my son they can't wait to watch because they are big Reigns fans and are really happy he won. The important factor is that both sides can't wait for Monday. Admit it or not, like it or not, agree with Vince's methods or not, they have managed to get interest in the product and I've talked to more casual/lapsed/former fans who don't usually watch but plan on watching Monday just to see what the talk it about. Sure, there were some who stopped watching, but that number was very minuscule. Many of those that were doing the #cancelWWENetwork were doing so just to hop on the bandwagon, many I would wager either didn't have the network anyway or didn't watch WWE anyway. I have an aunt that will post "boycott" stuff on facebook and say things like "I'll never buy {insert famous person here}'s stuff again." Right after she'll have about 50 likes and another 20 people joining her overblown protest. Catch of it is that they would have never bought that person's stuff to begin with, so there protest isn't doing anything tangible aside from making meaningless noise. I think the cancel movement was nothing more than people making noise instead of an actual movement. Will all of this "controversy" gain higher ratings/buyrates? who knows. But no denying people are talking and as the old adage goes, there is no such thing as bad publicity. Maybe Vince is out of touch, which is entirely possible; or maybe Vince, the man who has worked crowds for decades, has worked everyone once again. Only time will tell.

I think this proves that more of the roster needs to rip off Looney Tunes characters. That will really start bringing in the Network buys!
