So I know there are many grievences on Punk's 434 day run.
Simple ones are:
The Heel Turn Not Main Eventing PPV's Not Dropping the title earlier, e.g. Ryback at Hell in a Cell Dropping the title to The Rock of all people, i.e. not putting over a new star Not facing Undertaker with the title to have a "streak vs. streak" match Not "winning and keeping" the title since MITB
So what was your main beef with the 434 day run? People love it, hate it, or are neutral to it.

Mostly the second one. I understand Rock/Cena main eventing Wrestlemania and Cena/Lesnar main eventing Extreme Rules, but Cena matches against Big Show and Johnny Ace going on after WWE title defenses is pathetic.

He didn't drop it at Night of Champions.

I have absolutely no issue with anything you listed other than never main eventing PPVs. Otherwise I enjoyed it immensely.

Him not ever really being THE guy really cheapens the length of the reign.

I say the biggest problem was it ended at Royal Rumble by Rock and not at WrestleMania by Cena, which would have been a much more logical move, storyline wise, as Cena's first major victory over Punk would have been for the title, and not for the number one contendership.

IMO the problem here stems back to Punk having his main event fire snuffed out at the hands of Nash and HHH the previous year. He got his token run soon after but he had to be punished for getting over without permission first and while he was still something he honestly never recovered from that as far as what he COULD have been.

I would never have turned him heel. I get why they did it but, people wanted to cheer him and he was moving merch something fierce.
Then again, the awful AJ storyline killed his face momentum dead so I guess they had no choice but to turn him heel to get some of that back. So, I'm not sure.
Him not main eventing over Cena, Ace, and Show was way beyond stupid and telling of how WWE really looks at their product. That being "Cena over all."

My main issue was just how long his reign went on.

434 reads the same forwards as backwords...it's a palindrome. I read somewhere that that's like evil or something, don't question it.

One more I'm going to add is credible opponents.
He had, Miz, Del Rio, Ziggler, Jericho, Kingston, Truth, Bryan, Kane, More Cena, Big Show, Ryback, Rock.
We could've had another Mysterio feud when Punk when heel, Sheamus, Lesnar if he was going to drop the title to someone, Barrett, Mark Henry, Orton again but for the title, Christian, etc....

He never got any focus put on him, he never felt like the guy everybody was gunning for, the championship was the main focus of the show only when Cena and The Rock where challenging for it. He was treated as a main eventer only when feuding with real ones and was degraded afterwards (which is par for the course in his case), but that time he took what it's supposed to be the most prestigious title in the company to the midcard with him.

While my main gripe, with his run, was the lack of PPV main events. Him and Bryan shouldn't be in the undercard while Cena vs. Big Johnny main events. There was no excuse, for that. But my biggest gripe was how much of a bitch they made Ziggler look in their Rumble feud. That set Dolph back, big time.

The lack of PPV main events. It's sad when the Champion goes on before the main event of John Cena vs. Evil Boss of The Month #852.

Honestly, when I saw Vader on Raw 1000, I was dreaming for a CM Punk vs. Vader feud somewhere down the road. Punk would sell the crap out of Vader's offence, and a win over Vader would give Punk some credibility.

Time machine version of the match would be amazing though.

Time machine version of the match would be amazing though. If not him, then you know what would've made him an even bigger star? CM Punk vs. BROCK LESNAR at Extreme Rules 2012. Why wait 1 year later at Summerslam for this feud. Instead of coming back and looking for Cena, Lesnar naturally should've come back and challenge the champion. Punk vs. Lesnar as an extreme rules match would've been better than Cena vs. Lesnar at Extreme Rules and even that was a **** to ***** match. Gunning for the WWE title fresh after a stint in the UFC would've put Punk right in the spotlight after giving it up to Cena/Rock and there Punk is rebuilt and re-established as THE MAN to gun for throughout that whole summer. Too bad Johnny boy couldn't have it that way.
