I miss him. He's everything a heel should be. The old adage is that a heel always has to believe he's right, and I think this gets confused a lot nowadays. I think it's become "a heel always has to BE right" and that's bad. The heel thing now is to tell the faces an uncomfortable truth and in a way it makes them more likeable and edgy. Not so great if you're out to get booed.
I think Bo Dallas is the guy who's preaching that his way is the right way and it clearly isn't. He's an egomaniac with nothing to back up his arrogance. He cheats and acts like he just beat Hogan clean in 1986. He has no redeeming features AT ALL. I've thought for a long time that he's the perfect 2010s heel, but that's not quite right. He's a timeless heel and yeah, he's unlikely to ever be pushed to a top spot, whatever, but he's the real blueprint of how a heel should be. There are a couple other guys who have done it, but they historically don't do amazingly well (Christian at certain points in his career springs to mind), and it's a shame. But Bo Dallas is the template of how a heel should behave, is what I think.

Bo got cheered heavily during the Rumble match though.

I think after Jericho's "honest man" act took off, WWE's been fixated on heels with a good point but go overboard with them. The problem with those kinds of heels is that if their point is too strong, then the face gets sabotaged by default and will have a much harder time winning over fans. The great thing about heels like Bo, and to an extent JBL and Triple H when he's really being a dick, is that they're delusional and they don't ever make any valid points.
Like Bray Wyatt's great and all, but someone here armchair booked an idea where he, the so-called eater of worlds who wants to tear down our fragile little worlds, would be revealed as a trust fund son of privilege. And IMO that would be a great idea, because it would add that same "this guy is full of shit" factor his brother has, and more than likely make him even more hated.

I love the way he keeps himself interesting to watch even during the most meaningless of matches, it's always worth looking out for the moments where the metaphorical mask slips for a brief moment or the chance he may throw in some fun improvisation.
That keeps his character interesting as you try to work out what he truly Bo-lieves and what's part of an act, that in turn adds another layer as you don't know if that act is motivated by insecurity or if it's a part of heel scheming.
I think that's a valuable character in today's WWE where there booking can often get stuck in a rut. I'd fast-forward a meaningless Del Rio match where he shows he's aggressive but wouldn't do that for a Bo match.

I'm really disappointed Bo didn't get the Kurt Angle 99/00 push that he sort of began with his undefeated streak. I think he could have easily shot up the card just by winning his matches and being an entertaining and obnoxious POS.

I still don't understand what was gained by ending his streak with Truth. What was the point?

I think he could have easily shot up the card just by winning his matches and being an entertaining and obnoxious POS. The problem is that Bo isn't anywhere near good enough to be pushed to the level where he's going toe to toe with upper midcard level talents. Even against a buried Swagger, Bo looked out of his element.. At least Angle brought it in the ring. I think Bo is fine where he is as a lower card talent that actually gets to have mic time and win matches. After all, we do need more of those. I think Bo should've been used to elevate other lower carders by taking beatings to help them showcase their movesets, only to end up lucking out a win. I still don't understand what was gained by ending his streak with Truth. What was the point? Let's be honest. If his streak wasn't ended by R-Truth, it would've just been some anticlimactic throwaway segment where he gets squashed by Sheamus, Cena, Bryan if he wasn't hurt, or Ziggler.

Bo's gimmick is brilliance, but it's lost on the booking hivemind responsible for The New Day. The two literally cannot coexist.

Bo Dallas is a delusional geek who thinks he's better than he actually is and makes puns with his name. The New Day are three floundering talents who are trying to find greater success as a unit ("I am stronger." "I can fly higher".). Plus Kofi, Big E, and Woods are pretty much the same as they were before getting together, except now they have matching attire and different music.

The idea of them banding together isn't the problem. It's the whole "fun" element. They're so fun. Come join us in chanting and having fun, you guys! Bo is all that cheesy inspirational energy channeled into a different direction with a heelish packaging. The sort of booking committee that thinks the best way to utilize three solid talents is to have them dance and clap and tell people how much fun they have is inherently not going to understand a gimmick rooted in twisting something similar. Bo is a deconstruction of something that at the core is what the New Day plays horrifyingly straight.

If Bo is the mastermind behind The New Day it would somewhat make sense, and it would sorta play into NXT history as Bo Dallas beat Big E clean for the NXT Championship, because he 'bolieved' he could thus he made Big E a Boliever that way.

I always thought if Daniel Bryan never got injured as well with Bo Dallas, they would of had a perfect mini semi main event WWE Title Championship feud during a PPV like MITB or the rubber match of a heated rivalry like Shield vs. Evolution.

I just love Bo Dallas so much these days. I love characters that are completely delusional that they think that they are the good guy or that people love them.

If a perfect heel makes you change the channel immediately because his Teddy Ruxpin voice annoys you and he looks too much like his dad, then sure I guess he's perfect.
