I don't know a great deal about Bossman's career. I don't recall his WCW run but I remember his early WWF run and his cage match with Hogan. However, Bossman in the late nineties as Vince's bodyguard? Brilliant! The guy didn't have great matches or anything, but just as a believable and entertaining bodyguard for Vince. He was great. Vince backed up by the stooges and Bossman was excellent. I most fondly remember him at Survivor Series 1998. Who else loved him in this role? I loved his look too, and his music fitted him to a T. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5wviKVS-X0

The longstanding rumor is that it was supposed to be Stevie Ray but was switched to Bossman at the last minute who the competitors and management knew "they could trust".

I never did like SWAT team Bossman. Not sure why he didn't just go back to the blue cobb country Georgia police uniform with the gold stripe down the side of his pants. The black getup was too generic and forgettable. And why no "you'll be serving hard time" theme?

I thought he was pretty good no matter what he did, but my biggest problem with this Bossman is that I just didn't take him seriously, but it was still a step up from wrestling under his real name in WCW.

And probably not edgy enough for the Attitude era.

No clue but this match is the only thing I remember from this run of his. As I recall, he randomly came back a few weeks before this match and disappeared a few weeks after

Bossman in 2002 was weird. He was back on Vince's side and it felt like they were trying to rehash 1998/99 again. Then he randomly formed a tag team with Mr. Perfect which created a continuity nightmare.

Let us fondly remember Big Boss Man. Everything he did was gold.

All I remember from Bossman's 2002 run was that they dropped Big from his name. He was just "Boss Man."

Let us fondly remember Big Boss Man. Everything he did was gold. Indeed, the guy should be in the Hall of Fame. It's also hard to believe that the only singles title he won in WWE was the Hardcore Title. After his face turn, he was the number 3 face in the company, behind Hogan and Warrior, but he never got a singles title. The guy had it all, he could work, he was agile, he had charisma, and he could talk, it didn't matter if he was face or heel, he'd succeed.

He was great in this role. I'd love to see them bring back a random person from last decade and modernize them.

I liked him a lot. Not the flashiest, but talented and willing to do most anything to get heat.

Bossman was perhaps one of the most dastardly characters in WWE history.
With shit like the Al Snow "Pepper" ordeal, and dragging around the casket of Big Show's father, and that speech he made about him.

With the deepest regrets and tears that are soaked. I'm sorry to hear your dad finally croaked. He lived a full life, on his own terms. Soon he'll be buried and eaten by worms. But if I had a son as stupid as you. I'd wish for cancer so I would die too. So be brave, and get your life back on track. Cause the old bastard's dead and he ain't ever coming back!
Man, Bossman was awesome.

I find that surprising They should induct not just him, but his feud with Big Show too.
