I still have nightmares of the Immortal build up.
It was Abyss vs. RDV for the TNA World Title with Eric Bischoff as the ref. Abyss murders RDV but Eric doesn't give Abyss the title
EVEN THOUGH WE FIND OUT LATER THEY WERE IN CAHOOTS THE WHOLE f***IN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody remember the original Eric Young-Bobby Roode feud? The one that lasted like a year and a half? The one that was started because Roode thought that if he beat up and embarrassed a beloved babyface enough then the fan will have to cheer for him? The one that featured Eric Young beating Traci Brooks in a bikini contest?

Were you involved in the 10/14/10 thread (made by yours truly, btw)? That's the Impact thread equivalent of Vietnam. If you weren't there, shut up. I actually am curious to see this thread. Got the link?

I watched that shit by myself with nothing to keep me sane. You guys in that thread extended your lives by having something to keep your brain from running away in protest.

Speaking of the Immortal buildup, remember when they gave Abyss a branding iron named "Bob" (to go along with the nailboard named Janice) and he was torturing random fans or backstage workers?
You think there's still some poor sap going through life with 10 10 10 scarred into his back?

I was there, so I can say this He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is named, And rouse him at the name of 10/14/10. He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say “Tomorrow is Immortal Impact.” Then will he look at his history and show his posts, And say “These posts on made on 10/14/10.” Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he’ll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words- IchiMan, Bad News Hitogroshi and Bullhead, Doctor of Style and JoDaNa1281, Kevin Hamilton and dlg3000- Be in their flowing cups freshly remembered. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Immortal Impact shall ne’er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that posts his feelings with me Shall be my brother.

Would be nice to know but every time Abyss branded someone, Taz and Tenay would move on to something else without a care in the world. Even though a man, in storyline, just got BRANDED by another human being. TNA leading up to Bound For Glory in 2010 was some of the worst wrestling programming I'd ever seen. Still probably is if I ever go back to watch some of it. Which I'm not. Once was too much.

I aint trying to start anything, but I honestly don't get the hate for TNA. Yes it isn't the best, but it is nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I have enjoyed it for the most part since the second half of 2014. But you know, different strokes for different folks. Its basically the same thing that happened with WCW toward the end. A segment of wrestling fandom have just gotten conditioned to hating on the company, regardless of how good or bad the actual product in the ring is.

As someone who ride and died with WCW all the way to the end, even the diehard WCW mark that I was recognized when things were straight shit. The Dog. NWO Black and Silver. Vince Russo and David Arquette: WCW World champions. I also knew when something was truly good without the rose tinted glasses. Most people here will admit when TNA does something they like just as quick to point out something blows goats. Not something to take as "everyone hates everything TNA does". TNA been through some dark times the last couple years that not even late WCW went through with few highlights here and there. In ring product means little if the angles and promos are pure dreck.

My entire history with TNA is one never-ending loop:
1) Don't watch for a while
2) Either out of boredom or morbid curiosity or, on rare occasions, because I come across comments that it's actually getting better, I watch an episode
3) Feel dirty and disgusted with myself
4) Repeat

Yep, people praise Lashley, when he was in WWE did you ever think he'd have pretty much the entire forum backing him. People praise Spud and ECIII, about the only thing people find wrong with their feud is JB. When TNA has something that deserves praise, it gets praised.

I was there when Samoa Joe was kidnapped by ninjas.
I was there when Rhyno won the heavyweight championship, only to lose it to Jeff Jarret right after.
I was there when Dixie cried for Surge.

At the time of the post 10/10/10 show, I believe I was actually on the WWE universe forum.
What an awful place that was. My life was in a bad place. That place was on the WWE Universe forum.

A segment of wrestling fandom have just gotten conditioned to hating on the company, regardless of how good or bad the actual product in the ring is. I have to respectfully disagree. Even if you look at WCW's worst year (2000) they still had many highlights. Lance Storm rose to the top, Booker T became champion, Scott Steiner had probably his greatest year ever and near the end it really was an exciting time. Were there a few bad months? Yes. Were they as bad as TNA? No. At least WCW had people around who said "Russo did some shit work. Lets turn it around" Lets look at TNA 2014. You had WWE rip off story lines at least 4-5 times. You had Eric Young a comedy character who could barely string two wins together win the World Title simply because he kind of resembled a phenomenally popular WWE wrestler. You had Dixie lying to Spike which probably cost them the TV deal, you had Bully Ray Vs Dixie, Sam Shaw 2 houses, Wolves/Team 3.D/Hardys feuding for no reason and killing themselves for no reason, Psychologist Gunner, Sam Shaw's face turn, The Menagerie, Sam Shaw and Brittany doing horrible acting segments, The 2 week "We're edgy" kick and of course my personal favourite. Inducting 2 guys into the Hall Of Fame who immediately left the company afterwards never to speak of it again. WCW 2000 is about two thousand times better than TNA 2014 and so far TNA 2015 hasn't outdone WCW 2000 either.

"Therrrrre herrrrre...." Truly troubled times: Finger on fast foward. Deliberating whether I should bother recording the PPVs and then latterly wondering whether I should record those monthly not-PPVs. But recording them anyway. *sob* And fast forwarding. All the fast forwarding. *sob* Aces & Eights. More Aces & Eights. Sting's t-shirt. Hogan's "traction". "Firing on all cylinders". Carrot Bischoff. Bubba The Love Sponge. The Nasty Boys. All the time in fast foward. *sob* Now i'm out, man. But i take it one week at a time..... *sniff*
