No, Ambrose doesn't suck, but it does seem like he didn't shake someone's hand backstage, because his booking has been terrible. I'm really not entertained by anything he does, and I used to be when he was Jon Moxley.

I think he has great charisma and is a great character, but he's surprisingly limited in-ring for a guy who is hyped as much as he is on the internet. He's a kick-punch guy, that's ultimately going to limit him.

He's a kick-punch guy, that's ultimately going to limit him. I Think the Internet hype caused people to make misconceptions about Ambrose. I think some people made the mistaken assumption that Dean Ambrose was some type of technical wrestling machine, under some misguided belief that ALL wrestlers with an indy background were these amazing mat technicians. They see this kick punch guy, and rationalize that he's "overrated" and "doesn't live up to the hype".

You Dunn goofed, that gif belongs in the Sweatsock Lothario thread. And Ambrose doesn't suck, even if I personally doesn't care that much for the mentally-unstable persona he portraits..

He's a brawler because he's good at it, but he can do all the mat wrestling and all the armdrags and crap everyone else can. The guy can wrestle.

In what way is Ambrose an Austin knockff? If you wanna see a Austin knock-off, Look at that f***boy Mr. Anderson. He has admitted that Stone Cold is the only wrestling he ever saw before getting into it and wanted to emulate him. So of course, he completely f***** up trying to be like Austin just like he f***** up everything else he's ever done in his career. Wait. What?

The whole Heath Ledeger Joker thing is that he's been doing those little traits before the movie came out. So it's only seen as a copy to Ledger's Joker because some folks don't watch anything else but WWE/TNA

So it's only seen as a copy to Ledger's Joker because some folks don't watch anything else but WWE/TNA He's acknowledged it though. And are you sure? The higher pitched than his natural voice thing he does seems like a spot on impression. Any examples of his doing this before you can link? And that said, I think he's doing less of the Ledger now with his solo babyface character. He's mostly just doing his own thing.

I wish he'd tap more into his "Jon Moxley" level insanity where you imagine that even if there were no cameras on and he was in a room alone he'd still be pacing and rambling like a psychopath. He lost me way back when he was squirting Seth Rollins with Nickelodeon gloop and spraying condiments at people. He's too much "look at me, ain't I crazy?" and too little "don't go near that guy, he's f***ing crazy."

No, but the booking of him has sucked. Remember how well he was getting over around Money in the Bank and when he returned from the injury with the cinder blocks? The fans were going crazy when it looked like he might win Money in the Bank. Again, the fans went crazy when he returned from injury (or filming a movie). They were getting behind him. It looked like WWE knew what they were doing when they stalled the big Rollins match till Hell in a Cell, but then Bray Wyatt's hologram lantern appeared and it's been terrible since then. He should have been given a big win in the main event of Hell in a Cell in his blood feud with Rollins. Instead, he's been losing steam with fans ever since. He's been given some crap segments, like the Money in the Bank briefcase gags and the psychiatric exam, but he does the best he can with them.
