Okay ROH get on it, we still need Bertie vs AJ, but also give us Bertie vs Joe.

Good, watching Joe in TNA the past few years was sad. It was always:
Joe gets depushed and lost in the shuffle even though the fans like Joe. TNA pushes Joe as a monster again. Fans have hope for him to reach main event again.

They'd give him some sort of savage name like Umaga, Yokozuna, or Haku or those other 1 named Polynesian guys that the WWE has had and make him play a gimmick simply because of his look. That said, I don't think he goes to the WWE to wrestle. If anything, he'd be asked to be a trainer ala Del Rey and Pearce. His in-ring career may be over outside of indies tho, maybe LU or a return to ROH for a bit but even that seems like a stretch.
At any rate, glad he got away from TNA before it completely sinks, its just the bow of the boat thats in the water now.

Another cornerstone of the company gone
I wish this would have happened a couple of years sooner, but I will take what I can get. Losing a bit of his weight and returning to ROH and PWG/debuting in NJPW would be amazing!

I wish FCW was a full blown org as opposed to the minor league of the WWE.

I totally believe Joe still has it in him to be a main guy for any place he chooses to go. For all the talk of "in shape" and "motivation," he's done it as recently as the summer 2012 respect feud with Magnus over the TV belt that briefly reestablished the TV title, and then again early last year when it looked like he was going to win the belt and set-up for a Joe-Aries program going into the summer, all of which never materialized and seems utterly unrecognizably different in hindsight because TNA.
He's still a tremendous talent and isn't challenging to put in an interesting program. If this is really real, I look forward to wherever he may roam.

It just dawned on me how awesome the possibility of a Joe Highspots or Smart Mark shoot could be.

I'm not to going to name off the trendy promotions like Lucha Underground and New Japan as places where Joe can go post TNA. I doubt with all of the wear and tear on his body that he wants to work strong style on a regular basis. Lucha Underground is starting to get crowded so unless they are dropping some folks, it will be a TNA situation all over again. What I do see is Joe getting the AJ Styles treatment and getting to make his calls on where and how he wants to work with. Places like PWG, AIW, ROH, Progress, etc are already emailing and calling him right now about working some dates. Honestly, it's going to take a while for Joe to regain the mystique and swagger like he used to have. Just the other day I was talking about how the Holy Trinity of X was TNA's crowning achievement and now he's gone.
Also Joe leaving is due to his contract not being renewed by TNA. So look for Aries to be next if he's not willing to take a pay cut to stick around. TNA is still in a bad way financially.

I agree about Aries, I wouldn't be surprised if he's the next to be gone.

Fans have hope for him to reach main event again. Nail on the head. Joe was one of the main factors that kept me watching TNA during the times when I'd come back to the product, but there's no getting around that Joe's booking may well have been TNAs all time biggest initial success (his initial undefeated streak), followed by arguably their most colossal booking blunder (having no clue what to do with him post-Angle feud). Made me feel like I was watching late 90s WCW again, always holding out hope that my favorites would get that last big push to the top, and always being disappointed. And yeah, Joe definitely still has it in him to put on a great program: his feud with Magnus going into Lockdown last year cinched that for me, especially the match which, outside of the absurd Abyss interference, was dynamite and had me convinced Joe was actually going to win. I don't know where he goes from here, but I hope I get to keep following him: dude was a ridiculously important reason why I became a wrestling fan again back in 2004, and hopefully he's still got some great moments left to give, wherever they might be.

Considering how much shit he's put up with for years now, I can't imagine what would make him leave now. Maybe Dixie broke his Xbox?

I'm sure that folks who were actually IN the company really were grateful for the opportunities that Impact Wrestling provided them, but boy, there's a whole generation of talent that will be lost to time. Makes you wonder what would have happened if guys like Styles, Joe, Roode and Storm ended up in WWE instead of IW. Also speaks to how much TNA really has just squandered opportunity after opportunity in recent times. The good news is that the current wrestling climate means that Joe probably already has 5-6 offers at his door, unless he wants to leave the biz entirely...

If Rhyno can show up in NXT there's hope for a random Samoa Joe sighting yet.

Then he loses it to Devon who uses it to keep his pants from falling down.

Following Punk's example Joe will now write for DC Comics, despite no history as a writer, artist, or editor. Given DC's recent output, no one will notice. Joe would just get nerfed and jobbed out to Batman anyway.

He's been done with TNA since 09, more or less. A few cameos here and there. But this is just making it official. Hopefully he can get back to being awesome elsewhere.
