f***. I became familiar with him from Comedy Bang Bang. The Farts And Procreation episodes were always hilarious. This sucks.

This especially sucks because it seemed like he was working real hard to stay clean and beat his demons. What a goddamn shame.

Geez. I'd heard an interview with him about his drug problems and stuff. Even crazier is that they used to do a RIP Harris Wittels bit on 'You talking U2 to me' Guy was really, really funny. I hope "creator of humblebrag" gets put on his tombstone, I feel like he would have wanted it that way. I recommend listening to this ep of You Made it Weird to get a feel for it all: youmadeitweird.libsyn.com/harris-wittels-returns

Just watched the ep of Parks where his character's head is in that vice, yesterday. Kept thinking those two guys should've been on the show, more often. Weird.

Didn't he play The Douche on Parks and Rec? I knew he looked familiar.
I am saddened. He was pretty damn convincing as a shock jock.

Also, tonight at midnight, FXX is airing the "Animal Control" episode of Parks and Rec. Don't know if that was planned in honor of Harris, but either way, check it out.

heres what i posted about him yesterday
One of the funniest mother f***ers of all time Harris Wittles lost his battle with addiction. He tried everything from AA to even scientology to get help but he couldnt quite do it and it finally caught up with him. His episode of you made it weird about his life is amazing and worth a listen but id rather enjoy some Farts and Procreation right now. RIP Harris' Foam Corner

There's a new episode of CBB's Farts & Procreation #4 with Wittels, Perretti and Adam Scott.
Scott Auckerman's preface to the episode is kinda hearbreaking to listen to.
"He (Wittels) would be furious if any of his friends were serious for even one second...and...I can't go that far...."
That's kind of the same sentiment I want people have when I die. I'd hate for them to do anything but crack jokes at my expense, after I die. Its just how I want to go out.

Addiction is very serious , as a person who dealt with addiction I can say it's recovery process is almost a miracle , sad he lost the fight

holy f*** that voice mail at the end of the podcast got me i was tearing up, wonder what the story behind it is? There was an old podcast where comedians would leave humorous messages on an answering machine. That was one of them. Harris's obituary: houstonjewishfunerals.com/obituaries.html?view=detail&id=470
